I'm looking for a tri-fold hard tonneau cover that doesn't cost an arm and a leg it seems like a $1,200 is a bit much for 4.6 feet of bed. Does anyone know a brand that doesn't cost that much but it's a decent quality.

Be advised this is a hard Tri panel Bi fold.
Potatman, This cover may fit your requirements
There quite a few members who have this tri-fold hardcover.
Just like you stated you want.
It is made in China and it is sold under various different brand names. The brand I have is "MostPlus".
Very easy to put on 4 clamps.
No tools needed.
You can remove the whole cover in 5 minutes no tools needed.
The two end panels fold up on top of the third panel and secure in place. Undo the two clamps with your hands and take the top off.
It has two hand latches by the tailgate that secured to the bed and with the tailgate closed it is secure. If keeping your stuff secure, a hard cover is the way go.
It certainly isn't going to be sliced into like a soft top and it won't fluff around in the Wind.
This is what it looks like on my truck

My niece's boyfriend asked if I could help him bring back a piece of exercise equipment that he wanted to buy. His RAV4 wasn't big enough.
I folded back 2 panels and it fit perfectly with the tailgate up. I had about half an inch to 3/4 of an inch on either side of room.

Good luck with your choice.
Take care,

Tyger T3, $239 @ Amazon. My stepson and I have this one. Tight as a drum and can be installed in minutes without climbing into the bed. 99% dry after a rainstorm or car wash if you use the provided weather strips.

I bought a retractable cover from Truck2Go and with shipping and installation for$1,001 total. That will be the last cover I need to buy! Worth every penny!

I have a Rough Country that I am more than pleased with. $700 and folds all the way back. They sell a cheaper unit that only folds 2/3 of the way. I have had Flex and Under Cover on other trucks and this is just as good.

Which model is this one on that website? The only one I want is a retractable one as well but there are many to choose from. Thanks for the help. 👍

The model name is SyneticUSA on Truck2Go.com. If you sign up for their website you can get 5% off.

You can buy the Synetic cover directly from synetic usa website. I notice Truck2Go says warranty only good if professionally installed. I called Synetic and their warranty is good even with diy install. Same cover and price and free shipping. Cover is made in china if that is concern, while realtruck cover is $800 more but made in USA.
