  2. Are you happy with your Maverick? Would you buy it again?

Yes. I really like this little truck. Traded in an F150 eco-boost for new 2024 XLT Hybrid. Did a 3000+ mile trip with a rooftop tent last year, and currently in the middle of a 2000 mile non-camping trip. not the bells and whistles of my Cadillac ev, but a comfortable road trip car and over 40...

  4. Hybrid Maverick Assists Camping

This is excellent post. I don’t know much about vehicle electronics. I would not have thought about this, and once had to fold up the RTT just to drive my 2024 hybrid to get out of battery sleep mode. Using the Mav as a generator is awesome, and would have alleviated that problem. Question...

  6. Shocking Hybrid Transmission Fluid Change at 65k miles

Ha! 60+ year Ford issue. I had to buy this same funnel/tube system to get oil into the horizontal side of the electric motor that raised and lowered the convertible top on my 1965 Mustang (motor conveniently located in a small space between the rear seat and the trunk)...

  10. Texas to Dakotas trip

The drive was great. I didn’t even think about comfort (or lack of) during the trip. With my setup, and where the tent sits behind the cab, I did not notice any extra wind noise, other than what we hear under normal Maverick driving. I also don’t notice any extra noise with just the Tuwa rack...
  11. Bed Mat over Spray in liner

I have the drop-in liner in my truck, but after I installed an aftermarket hard tonneau, I was a little worried about water leaking into the bed, so I got a couple of these at Home Depot. They keep stuff from sliding around, but also keep my camping cargo from sitting in a pool of water if I do...
  12. Need advice for rooftop tent setup.

Very happy with my Tuwa shiprock mid. does not get the tent below the cab roofline, but allows you to see behind with the rearview mirror. See my thread and photos of my setup at...
  13. No audio - speakers just hum

Has happened a couple of times now, second time was this morning. I turned on the radio and there is no audio to the speakers. I only get a hum; the hum does get louder if I turn up the volume knob, or quiet if I turn it down to zero. Same result whether it is the Ford Audio FM radio or Apple...

  15. Texas to Dakotas trip

Roofnest Condor. They have improved version now, but I am happy with ours, and it is good fit to Maverick.
  16. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

"the hybrid, from all the information we have, has no use for the extra. This is really about the ecoboost...." Someone posted this above, but it is interesting that the section in the owners manual about the vehicle doing better on 91 octane in some situations does not seem to differentiate...
  17. New Maverick Owner from Northwest Arkansas

welcome. I have a 2024 hybrid XLT in the same color. I am also a Ford person since my grandfather sold Fords in San Antonio. And I have family now in Bentonville area. This is a fun little truck to drive and play with. You will find a lot of useful info on this site.
  18. Texas to Dakotas trip

Well, people that know what they’re doing do climb up to the top of the real Devils Tower. But not me. there is a rocky point called Little Devil’s Tower in Custer State Park, SD. That is climbable by regular folks. That’s where that photo was taken.
  19. Mabett Under-Seat Storage Box Now Available (Power & Manual Versions)

Ordered both, and got discount on both, but the manual seat side won't be delivered until Sept 30. Power driver's side will come in two days.
  20. Hybrid 12v battery AC update - status?

I had the battery replaced under warranty about 3 weeks ago (2024 Hybrid) - dealer put in the non-AGM battery as specified in the owners manual, which was a better battery than what came in it new. Also had them do the AC module software update. Then went on a 12-day 3400 mile trip. Had a...
