I'm no stranger to the lifter noise either especially coming from a Triton 3V years ago, but yea, it's a pretty unique and hilarious sound in the 2.0. This is my first EB and turbo engine. Lots of people complain about the never ending "RPM's" of the 2.5 paired with the eCVT, but it didn't bother me at all. I actually kind of enjoyed it. So you either get a sewing machine or a version that never shifts lol.I think it is a solid mix of sewing machine and paint can mixer.
I think it sounds like shit but I also am used to EBs and it is a truck so I don't mind the engine noise no matter how pathetic it might be.
Same experience...went from the Escape to Maverick....same engine but Maverick is very tinny and rattly sounding.Mine is the same noise . my 2017 escape 2.0 was not this loud .
