I live in East Tennessee and my truck is sitting at a "Truck yard" in Hapeville, GA. It's right beside the Atlanta airport. Maybe that's where your truck is going to, or maybe there's a place "yard" closer to you than this place.
What date was your truck shipped?
It say it was shipped on 1/5/23. My original due date for it to be shipped to my dealership was Jan. 15th to the 21st, but when it arrived at the "truck yard" that changed to Feb. 12th to the 18th. There must be a lot of trucks sitting down there.
I spoke to my dealer and he said ford does the contract for the long haul trucking wnd the first time they have status at dealer is when they are contacted by the trucking company. I suppose there is a process to aggregate rail, ispect, and book the consolidated shipment to various dealers that takes time. He estimated 2-3 weeks in my case.
I feel ya. Mine shipped 1/8 and booked it across country in two weeks on rail. Now been sitting 10 miles from dealership in train yard for a week. It’s been driving me crazy!
Mine is 2 hours away in Nashville where I frequently travel to. Arrived Saturday, but unloaded yesterday at 6am. Despite it being over a week ahead of scheduled, I noticed on the Ford tracker it went from 1/29 - 2/11 to 2/2 - 2/16. However, checking it again, it updated to 1/28 - 2/ 10 so I'm not sure. This may be that it's getting loaded up or it's just a fluke. Ford chat told me it was between 2/5 to 2/11 and my last ETA was 2/4. That was this morning and it just changed. All I know is that it is driving me crazy not knowing where it is, but I'm just pretending that it's still being built and not just the state over lol
Absolutely! I just feel the pain lol everyone is super excited here and so am I. The unknown is frustrating and exciting at the same time. I managed to get into contact with chat this morning. The did state that it would arrive between 2/5 and 2/11, but the dates just changed for me so I'm not sure. Thank you for the help!All estimates are just that, but chat will have more accurate info than the tracker.
Thank you so much for the update. I did call Norfolk Southern’s IVR today and it said “Intermediate Arrival”, in St. Louis earlier. I bet you are right, waiting for a truck to drive it for the remaining of the way to my dealer.
Chat told me that it would be between 2/4 and 2/10. The order tracker says between 2/1 and 2/14. My previous ETA from chat was 1/27-2/2. I just really want to know if my ETA was pushed back because of some known delay, or if some automated computer system pushed it back because it saw that my original deadline was approaching and it had yet to be delivered. I asked chat but they declined to say what the cause of the delay was.
As long as it takes to get a full rail car of trucks headed to the same ramp. It is possible, of course the rail car could be released while not full but the shipping fees from railroad will be almost the same for a partial car as for a full car.
The tracker told me my Hybrid is built waiting on shipping. I see you live in Madison, I live in Athens, so all the info you are getting will really help me figure out where my truck will be shipped to.
Cool! I'm actually a senior at Athens State. What dealership are you using? Is it Mclary? Of course! We should have similar processes. So, when mine shipped that first day, that was the last time the tracker stopped working for me so I tracked it through the railcar number. I would recommend using UP and Northernfolk until your truck reaches the Gateway yard in Illinois. There, it'll switch to CSX. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me.
