Was wondering if anyone knows the details of shipping by rail. My truck was shipped Oct 8th Norfolk Southern. It's now in Arizona. Was wondering where it may have a layover and or bottlenecks.. Expected delivery Nov 4th to 10th.

What good exactly would it do you know any of that? I'm not trying to be a smartass, but seriously, there isn't a single thing you can do to affect the actual delivery date. There's been lots of people on here that drive themselves crazy wondering and worrying checking stuff like this daily or even multiple times daily. And also keep contacting customer service daily and get even more stressed out when they are told something that their dealer or Ford tracking site didn't tell them. It's not worth the stress man! It'll get there when it gets there! Mine shipped the same day as yours and will end up in Phoenix at some point, then get truck transported to my dealer, who will then call or text me. ETA is supposed to be Oct 20-26.

I'm deliberately spending less time here and not chasing info daily. There's at least 1 more good week of weather here before it gets cold and I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it I can outdoors and not thinking about my truck. You should try it!

I did ask my dealer if he could let me know when my Maverick leaves the St. Louis rail yard. He told me he would only be able to see when it arrives in Michigan. I told him that's good enough for me. I'm anxious to get it, but not obsessed. At least I think I'm not?

Because I have nothing better to do. Keeps me entertained. I like to understand how the shipping stuff works. Not just for cars but pretty much everything. This got me into looking at maps of railways ect. It's amazing how it even works.

Just look at the order and tracking forum. Bad part is once it arrives at the destination rail station I lost visibility it sat there 2 weeks. Yes I got it very happy.

I’ve tracked a car delivery by rail before, and honestly, after it hit a certain point, updates just stopped until the dealership called me. The waiting made me a little crazy too, so I get diving into maps and routes just to pass the time. It’s actually pretty cool to see how complicated the rail network is for shipping big stuff across the country.

Waiting around for transport updates always reminds me of moving cross-country and how I obsessed over where my stuff was. Next time, if I need to move again, I’ll probably see if three movers can handle the logistics for me so I can just relax and focus on other stuff.
