2025 xlt radio seems to come on at level 6 or 7 after every start. Is there a way to make it come on at a lower volume when first starting the truck?

I think the default is retain last level and you have to change it to set a hard coded level which it seems has been set on your truck.

I think he's one who does things like putting a shower cap style baggie on his steering wheel in his air-conditioned humidity stabilized garage before going into his house.

Start up involves pleasing the seat belt demon by clicking the seat belt in then turning off auto Stop/Start in one fluid motion.
And clearing the screen notice about my seat belt. I Hate, Loath, Despise the seat belt chimes and screens that I will not wait the full minute to clear.

As for the auto Stop/start ! There is no way in hell I’m gonna let my engine stop at a light and deprive my still spinning at 10 or 20,000 RPM
Turbo of oil !

Ford, on principal alone start stop on a turbo equipped engine was so insanely stupid as you not being able to handle the low volt battery fiasco.

Re think these two issues !

Shut down procedure is simpler than pre-flight
Park,
close windows,
Remember to check that your keys are in your pocket.
And if I lock my door with the button on the door and step out and close the door 97% of the time the system senses the key fob and unlocks the doors as I start to walk away,

That’s about stupid, Ford, ‘Here’s your sign’

But I do like this Ecoboost Lariat and am so glad I’m a gasser.
No Hybrid in my future, yet.

Mine comes on at whatever level I left it. That shouldn't default from one day to the next.

If you have the ability to get forscan you can turn off all that seatbelt minders and dings and you can also completely disable Auto start/stop with forscan. I have done it for several people around me and the absolutely loved the removal of those.

The main cost is the OBDII to usb connector which can be purchased on (shocker) Amazon. You need a windows laptop (wont work with a chrome book or macbook). And then the Forscan software free to download just need a license you can do a 2 month free trial or buy the full version for a year for like $20. I learned from watching youtube videos and then if you get it let me know I can email you the full spreadsheet that was posted on here at what point that has all the available modifications, what modules it is found in and what has to be done. I don't think the dealer is going to touch this. Just a thought to lessen your preflight routine.

It would be very nice to get in and start up then drive away with no bells, beeps or screens to click.
In the old days we’d find the chime and disconnect it. Or cut a wire.

Mine does the same and it's irritating. I was hoping there would be a thread to solve this.

Mine also does this, but not all the time. It seems to be random.
