I went through my insurance... but the damage was over 7 grand. At first it looked like it just needed a bumper cover- then I noticed the gap between the hood and drivers fender got uneven. Pretty sure the core support got nudged.Those grills do look nice, punch in the nose was "repaired" with some plastic surgery.
WOW, over 7 Grand for that little bit of damage. This and the visual damage of other post of damages that don't look too bad at all but get totaled is starting to make me question unibody. Glad they got it fixed up for ya !!!
Could be worse. Could be the stainless steel body of the upcoming CyberTruck. I would imagine looking at it wrong will cost over $15,000.
I'm not at all. It's $2k just to do a bumper cover and that doesn't include blending paint on the front quarters. Add any type of sheet metal, support, or frame damage and it is easily $7k.
I watched the Cyber Truck reveal last night. They are touting no paint, bullet proof and easy to repair. But at what cost and by who? Nothing all that impressive on the new truck. 2500 payload, 11K tow rating, 300 mile range and room for 4x8 panels in the bed. They certainly had enough guinea pigs lined up taking deliveries last night. Priced at 50-100K no thanks. Elon needs to hand these presentations over to his marketing team. Will be interesting to see how that 300 mile range is impacted when towing 11000 pounds.
I will say, when they drag raced a Porche while towing a Porche, that was funny. But it isn't the groundbreaking release a lot of people thought it would be.
I love your fender flares. Could you tell me where you picked them upWow! I had mine repaired after some ass hat decided to crunch my front fender and bumper. Cost me less than $1k to fix & paint + the Grill bar and install side graphics.
I got them on Amazon( at a discount when they first came up for sale from) one of our MTC forum advertiser : Mabett. Very easy to install. There are some youtube videos on it from Redneck Garage (also a MTC forum member)
