My 24 Ford Maverick has been sitting on the dealership's lot for 2 weeks waiting for Ford to send them the Private Offer certificate number. It finally came in, only to be $900 short. Ford's 23MY to 24MY Maverick Retail Transition Private Offer (#32168) clearly states that the private offer value is predetermined by customer's 23MY retail COVP verified order, which was an XLT ($1900 private offer). I upgraded my 24MY to a Lariat because some of the options I wanted on the XLT were only available now on the Lariat. They are only offering me the Lariat private offer of $1000. If anyone has had this same issue and got it resolved, please let me know how you did it. I contacted both the dealer and Ford customer service and both said there was nothing they could do. Thanks!

What is a private offer?

When you originally place a vehicle order in one year and you have to wait so long that you have to order the following year model, a private offer is when they offer you a "discount" off the final invoice to help with the price increase for the newer model.

Thank you, I'm still learning. I did this same waiting game during covid for a video card. Doing it again for a vehicle.

That really sucks but it does seem like a take it or leave it situation due to changing the trim level, even though the offerings on the trim levels themselves changed between years.

I finally took delivery on the Maverick today. Bittersweet, with the private offer issue, but sure was nice to drive. Love the truck!

Nope. Take it or leave it

These are both wrong.

Changing trim levels does not effect your private offer. I went from an XLT to Lariat and got the full private offer from the XLT.

Contact Ford marketing and ask why the private offer was changed.

I realize it stings, sad that ford de contented the features of the MY24 that you needed to up the trim level to get the features you wanted to begin with. At least you got the 1K the program stated for the lariat trim. At the end of the day, be thankful you got the offer, I recall reading numerous threads where some crappy dealers wouldn't honor the offers at all - at least you had a decent dealer.

Thats just great...My original order on Sept 16 2021 was for a Lariat no Lux and a tow hitch. When the tow hitch became a constraint I changed to an XLT Lux. I wonder what they will do to me

i suggest you reread the private offer email. i wasn't eligible because they built my 2023 but i remember them stating in the letter that you could change trim levels and still get the offer.

If your original order in the system at the time of rollover was an XLT, then that should be the basis for the private offer.

You may want to seek the advise of Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy on this situation.
