I used to work at a 3rd party who made gears and pulleys for John Deere, we also made treadmill frames and drive pulleys, hubs, and other bits. Let me tell ya the gears and pulleys we made for Deere had batches that could have pretty wide tolerances and pass their approval. These were mostly stamped and spun units though. Nothing inside any gear cases. All made for $11-14/hr in Springfield, Ohio.Only John Deere designs gears to survive low speeds at high power all day.
