Kept outside
Everyday use.

Today I decided to wax my truck. The paint had several chips which I touched up, but I was pleasantly surprised how well the paint has held up outside. The paint looked just like the day I bought the truck. I have waxed the truck many times throughout the years, and repaired the chip spots. This has probably kept the shine on the paint.

Interior after 3 years looks great. No tears or stains in the seats.

Plastic Interior scratches very easily

Tires- Orginal tires. Going to get them replaced very soon.

Recalls - Many. Had them done with no problems. CV boots replaced.

Dents - None except for the bumper, which I banged into a wall, while using the backup camera. I was sure I was far enough from the wall, then I got the recall notice and realized I hit the wall was because the camera froze up. Hoping Ford can work with me to replace the bumper.

Ride - Nice and smooth

Overall I am happy with the truck that I spent under $27K which included tax, license, registration, Co-Pilot 360, spray in bed liner, floor mats, and tonneau cover, and rims.

PS After detailing the truck, I had to do it to my other car.

It goes much faster than the truck.

Nice join date and color of course! Agree, paint chips have been minimal even though I do some winter driving. Paint cleans up just fine too. Enjoying the XLT Lux in the cold weather but the XL is just fine too.

I've read this comment many times on the forum since I've joined. I've only had my Mav for 3 months, and all I've experienced is scuffs on the plastic that can be washed off. What types of things cause the scratches you're experiencing?

Nice truck and ‘Vette. I’ve a 80 Camaro Z-28, 350, 4speed, but the one that has been for lack of a better explanation detuned because of ‘Pollution constraints’. Built in Van Nuys California in ‘79. I think my 24 EcoBoost could give it a good run for its money!

Curious why you had the cv boots replaced already. Could you see a rip or hole?

Upon acceleration, the truck started to shake. I took it to the dealer, and they immediately replaced the axle. It took 1 day.

Ok,the axel was bad,but getting back to my original question ,why did you have the cv boots replaced? Did you see a rip or hole?
I believe OP states the boots were replaced but MEANS the entire axle were replaced. I don't think dealers just replace the rubber boots. Faster (less mechanic time) to replace the axle.

No. The dealer inspected the car.
Ok,so the dealer inspected the car and said you needed new cv boots because they were ripped or torn? Sry,just trying to be proactive with our maverick. It's almost 3 years old and the boots look fine.

Thx,I'm wondering if the boot was torn, and that caused the axel to fail.
