Interesting that yours is painted black. Mine is just the standard steel XL rim.For those curious
That's the donut you get if you don't opt for the "full-size" spare.Interesting that yours is painted black. Mine is just the standard steel XL rim.
But the so-called "full size" spare is not full size, or so I am told. One of the first things I plan to look at when/if my truck arrives. That's the donut you get if you don't opt for the "full-size" spare.
Full size wheel with a smaller 215/60/17 tire. Could probably switch out to a matching 225/65/17 pretty cheap if your local tire shop has a lightly used unmatched single. But the so-called "full size" spare is not full size, or so I am told. I opted for the “full size” spare so I didn’t have to worry about riding on the donut. Can I drive normally with the “full size” spare?Full size wheel with a smaller 215/60/17 tire. Should be fine as long as your taking it fairly easy. If you're doing alot of highway speeds it will probably be more noticeable. If you're towing alot a matching tire size is probably good idea tooI opted for the “full size” spare so I didn’t have to worry about riding on the donut. The donut spare limits you to 50mph and the "full size" spare limits you to 70mph according to the manual.I opted for the “full size” spare so I didn’t have to worry about riding on the donut. Can I drive normally with the “full size” spare?
