I'm telling you guys, just switch to the FWD ecoboost, you won't be sorry. I fully believe that unless you're in nose to tail traffic all day, the hybrid isn't worth it.
At $5.09/gallon in NE Ohio? My June order bare bones Hybrid shipped May 25, after being in production for almost a month. Supposedly shows up at dealer 6/29-7/5/2022. Can’t wait. EcoBoost only matches my current tow vehicle, a Volvo C70, so why bother? Hybrid only way to go. My Maverick Hybrid will be the fastest vehicle I’ve ever owned and will be my 38th at age 69. Also my last. Not into Fast and Loud; rather Smooth and Quiet with best possible gas mileage and still pull my boats. 2000 pound rating is same as the Volvo, which underneath is a Ford Focus with a Volvo engine and a Toyota automatic transmission. Not selling the Volvo until Maverick is at the dealer.

I paid $6.35 a gallon yesterday SoCal. My current gets 14-18 depending. The hybrid is going to let me fill up once a month instead of every week or less.

It's worth it. I'd rather take side streets than highway traffic anyway.

All in all it looks like 11 months from order to delivery .
Thank goodness I had a solid vehicle to carry me.

Most of you whine so much about waiting. By now, we all know it will be a long wait. Why agonize over something you can't control. Blame Ford all you want, but this is a global issue that is affecting all automakers.
Sure, I understand the new normal. What I'm whining about is the lack of communication and the not knowing the if or when of the situation. If not me they could let the dealer know.

6/10 order, 4 production date changes, VIN in April, window sticker last week. Still hanging on for something real update wise.
It was 12 days from time I got my window sticker til they told me it was built. Now I am waiting for it to arrive at the dealer in Maine. Shipped out on 6/6

Ok....let's say you're able to overachieve the EB gas mileage and you're getting 35 on the highway. I'm getting 42 lifetime in the hybrid and I do mixed driving. That 7 mpg turns into about $40 in gas a month. Oh, and the oil change interval for the hybrid is between 5-10k miles. Oh, and the brake pads are anticipated to last longer. Oh, and the initial cost is a couple grand less.

There's no universe nor any driving situation where the FWD EB is economically better than the FWD hybrid.

You know you are going to be waiting, what else do you need to be updated with?

In Canada, we don't get anything from Ford. Only dealers. My dealer updated me with Vin and Shipping, and I don't need an update until it's landed. I won't bug them for rail cars, and terminals and yards like so many do here.

It will get here when it gets here. Times are tough, be patient, OR don't order a new car and buy a used car you can get immediately.

I agree completely. Just what I have been thinking. 59 here and with 16 vehicles under my belt, my hybrid Mav is the second fastest I've owned. Sick of hearing the "underpowered" nonsense from some corners. And even my 88' Mustang 5.0 was only a second and a half faster to 60. That with over 40 MPG is a dream come true. Love love LOVE my Maverick....and I would be kicking my myself from here to China if I had weasled out and got the turbo.

Build week of 8/1. You won't end up getting it until September or October. If that was me at that point I would probably order a 2023 since the orders open in August. I also wonder if they are delaying the Hybrids to try and fix the electrical issues.

I don't think ifs an electrical problem delaying delivery. I have been told over and over, its the spray in bedliners and chips.

We just received our loaded Lariat Hybrid last week and it's fine. Better half loves it, and gave her 2018 to family who needed a car. She is turning cartwheels over our newest ride.
