I've been trying out the turning off the key method to set the Tremor into park, and I've noticed that sometimes the parking brake will also set using this method, and other times it won't.

Is there something programmed into the system that detects the truck on a slight slope or hill that makes this engage? It seems to be inconsistent.

If it's at a certain angle it will automatically set it

That's by design. The truck has an inclinometer somewhere.

Incline sets the brake.
Also if you open driver’s door without seatbelt fastened without it in gear, in case you forgot, they don’t want an accident.

I have noticed if you shift to park very quickly and shut the vehicle off immediately, it will automatically apply the parking brake because it thinks it isn't fully in PARK. I don't mind it though, because my truck never applies the parking brake every single time you put it in park, like all of the other new vehicles do.
