electric parking brake?

This Friday I am purchasing a tow dolly to tow our FWD 2.0 XLT behind our camper. I was reading in the Manual about towing the Maverick and it said something about the electric parking brake. Does this brake come on automatically when the vehicle is put in park and the ignition turned off? If so, does this lock up the rear wheels, which I was assuming are free wheeling?

Should this be the case, what do people do who tow dolly the vehicle!

READ THE MANUAL for towing.
I've seen the brake come on automatic when I park on a hill. The manual should tell you what to do to make sure you don't burn up the brakes.....
