Remember when they used to actually fail people on driving tests? They clearly dont anymore. 50% of drivers I see have no clue about basic driving rules. I see people on highways at night using the passing lane as a breakdown lane. U turns in emergency passthrough. turns from center lanes onto single lane traffic and just cut off the drivers in the correct lane... and they don't even realize that they are doing anything wrong.

My Ford dealership has its own collision repair center on site. Check with yours. Guarantees color matching and OEM parts

Had a similar thing happen to me over 50 years ago. Lesson learned. I never drive the isles anymore. Pull near the back park. Don't care if it's pouring rain or zero degrees.
Driving up and down parking lot isles, it's not if you will get hit it's when.

My very first new car a 1980 Chevy Luv was rear ended at a stoplight. One week after I bought it. My head went throgh the back window. The parts were horrible to find. Bodyshop wanted to replace the back window with plexiglass. The crash caused all the pop welds to show on the outside of the bed was never the same. Looks like your truck will get a new doorskin. Good luck! Even when I park far away from other cars some rust bucket always seems to park next to me. Between shopping carts and door dings hard to avoid.

The guy that did the estimate said he will put a new door on it because it got into the collision beam. Also a new front fender and the complete mirror assembly because it cracked the plastic base under the mirror.

Be sure to return and report on how well they do on color matching that tri coat HPR.

I told the estimator that I wanted all new ford oem parts. He said no problem but some may be on backorder when he orders them.

the three ingredients are a known, how thick they spray the orange pearl (mid coat) will be the key.

Ouch.. sorry to see it. Something similar happened to me couple weeks after i got my jeep. Someone in a parking lot backed right into me even after i gave them a warning honk. They didn't have insurance and i still haven't fixed it to this day. It's cosmetic so no big deal, but still hurts to see every day.

That's gotta hurt. You, not the truck. But, I can relate to this. My Maverick was wrecked and unsellable during transport to the dealership.
