but somehow no dash warning lights
I wonder if the reason for the no collision warning was because it was a fast moving object? I'm not aware of exactly how the collision warning is supposed to work but maybe if the deer was just standing in the road, the warning and automatic braking would have activated? I guess I should read up on this feature.

No air bag is good. Looks like your standard hood, grille, fender, bumper, lights radiator job to me. Hope that's all it is and not to many under hood bits. I do like the big hoop that runs around the front of the engine bay. That's the piece that keeps deer from totalling Mavericks.
Is that something that comes from Ford with the truck or an aftermarket. Around here, it isn't if you hit a deer, it's when for most of us. I'd like to protect my baby when it finally gets here!

Well, on my way to work today a hit a deer while going 55mph. No airbag deployment and everyone is fine. Lots of front damage, but somehow no dash warning lights and I was able to drive the half mile to the repair shop like normal, if anyone was wondering pre-collision breaking does NOT work for a deer, the more you know lol. The second picture is where his slobbery face hit the windshield. 🤬 I always felt so bad for the guys here posting pictures of their wrecked trucks now here I am, enjoy your mavericks for me today boys, you never know what tomorrow holds.

Ouch , still at about $9k in damage for most shops with the windshield, unless the radiator surround( support) cracked then add $2k more

Thats the reason I have brush guards on everything I own-except for my Maverick. I keep hoping as the Maverick population increases they will someday make one for the Maverick so I can actually start driving it after dark. I thought I lived in deer hell until I read the posts-apparently its become universal and not just here in the Ozarks! Here its not IF your going to hit a deer but when and where. Glad you're OK. Just feel sick about your truck.

Ouch, glad you are alright. Fingers crossed that insurance doesn't total it. Last month my sister hit a deer on I-94 with her brand new VW Taos. Damage was very similar to yours, OP, and they ended up totaling it. I guess lack of parts availability helped that decision.

Tough to see that. Hitting a large animal can incur lots of damage. Imagine a cow.

i lived, work in Saudi Arabia. Many reports of vehicles, traveling at nite, hitting camels. Road from Damman to Kuwait border A 4 lane. Many drive fast. And many killed when animal peels roofline back, comes thru windshield. Nasty stuff.
We have the same problem here in Canada but with moose. We live in a remote area with a long, straight stretch of highway. Late one night a truck hit a moose and it peel the roof back. The body was still in the driver's seat but was headless. The police search everywhere but couldn't find the head. It was later found rolled up in the roofs sheet metal.

The higher the animals body, expect terrible impact, damage.

They are like lawn ornaments here on Long Island. I feel sad for them; stupid people keep feeding them in their yards like stray cats… 😔

Sorry to see your maverick damaged. Almost had mine done in the end of May. We were headed to NY Thousand islands and worst part was my wife was driving. A line of deer came out of the woods and luckily had enough time to see them but had to tell my wife to slow down then speed up to go through the opening in the line. Don't know what happened to the cars behind us because I couldn't turn around because of recent neck surgery. Also the reason I reluctantly let my wife drive! 🤣

Oh Man! So sorry for this. This sucks. But you walked away and that was good news! Hopefully the car isn't totaled and you can get it fixed.

They are the absolute dumbest creatures ever.

At least with a stupid squirrel, it TRIES to get out of the way. It's dumb and indecisive, but it's trying to not get squished whereas a deer will fly out in the road like "SURPRISE!"

I was talking about the internal unibody structure. If you pop the hood and look, there is a tubular section that runs from the firewall to the front and around again to the firewall. Its just added beef that not all unibody cars have. Alot just have the inner and outer fender sandwiched together to make up the structure that holds the radiator forward.
