I drove from Camas, WA to Custer, SD last year, with a stop by Devil's Tower. I was concerned how it would do at the higher speeds since I'd never owned a hybrid. Perfectly understandable question! It did fantastic! 80 MPH all the way across Montana and Wyoming and never broke a sweat...
I went from Portland area (Fern Prairie, WA) to Custer, SD last summer. Up through Spokane and across Montana, down to Devil's Tower, then across to Custer. One stop in Bozeman. A couple stops to pee. 80 MPH highways most of the way. My 24 hybrid never broke a sweat. 38 MPG. Most...
I sure did see them! Custer is in the Black Hills and about 30 minutes from Mt Rushmore. We also toured the Badlands and saw bison in Custer State Park.
Camas, Washington to Custer, South Dakota. About 1250 miles each way. I picked up Little Red last October. 2024 hybrid, averaged 37-38 MPG. Devils Tower was a bucket list sight to see on the way! The lightning around us was a great bonus. Truck was very comfortable to drive and delivered my...
Mine startled me once when the engine cut out while I was waiting to turn into traffic. For an old fart, that isn't good, but I reminded myself what I was driving and now I'm used to it. I find mine has a lot of spunk if I need it to. If you want both a cover and a rack, RealTruck has sets...
I have the Ford bed rails for tie-down and just installed a Gator tri-fold tonneau cover. I'd suggest doing the cargo rails first. They weren't in the way installing the side rails for the tonneau but the tonneau clamps would have been a pain installing the cargo rails.
I was nose-to-nose with one in the orchards above Hood River last fall but they didn't notice. I did have a nice visit with a guy in a Rivian a while back. We compared electric trucks and decided we both had damn fine rides!
I read down through that thread and found that others had the same problem. Someone gave another email address and that is what I used. Discount was 10% for me.
Sis is a pilot driver for the wind industry and sent me pics of Mavericks as pilot cars while I was waiting for Little Red to get here. She asked me to share this with y'all. Part of why I bought my hybrid was fuel efficiency.
I live in the Portland Metro area. $284 is highway robbery! I pay less than $200 for full coverage for my 2024 Maverick hybrid and 2007 CRV, $500 deductible. We are a fairly expensive area to insure. I have Pemco and have gotten great service from them, too.
I followed this link and used the email in the comments. Heart back this morning and will be ordering the Gator EFX. Price on the site is $599, the agent offered $570. I'll take it! Thanks for the advice.
I think I have selected a tonneau cover. Going with the Gator EFX, currently $599 on RealTruck and well reviewed. I had really wanted a hard retractable but some major hospital bills make that not possible (but at least I'm here to install the new cover!). I know they have discounts fairly...
I agree. My HPR looks different colors in different lights and I've gotten several "wow"s from people that see it for the first time. New color is pretty, but I'm glad I got the "old" red!
