For those of you with Norfolk Southern railcar info you can use this phone number to access your railcar info without waiting for prompts and responding. Enter this into a contact and it will automate your tracking info. Be careful the first time you use it that you don't accidently get a human on the line. Replace your tracking info for everything inside the <>.

Alphabetic part = Convert your railcar alphabet letters to numbers, (i.e. TTGX=8849)
Numeric part = Numbers from railcar
8006355768,,,,,,2,,2,,<Alphabetic Part>#,,<Numeric Part>#,,,,1

The commas are important, and you need to enter the exact number that I have here or it may not work. This was tested on my iPhone, if Android has a different waiting time on commas, you may need to adjust.

Once you call the number you can just sit back and wait for your information. If you need to hear it again press 1.

Well, Glad I went in early.

Dealer is refusing to price protect on my truck. I negotiated to 1k more on my trade in to split the difference, or a written agreement that they would send me a refund check when Ford gives them the rebate.

Super frustrated, spent 4 hours at the dealer today. Over an hour on the phone with Ford who was 100% useless, with 1 rep even telling me I would get a check from Ford, but would not put it in an email.

At least you have the truck now and hopefully the 1k does come back to you.

That sucks. Hopefully all time well spent and works out in the end.
So you were negotiating an agreement that the would pay you $1k more on a “future” trade in? Just wondering as I will likely be trading in my vehicle after my 2022 hybrid comes in… assuming it comes in as a 2022

That is my hold me over XL, I don't have the truck. It has not shipped yet but ETA of 3 weeks.

Yes. They had quoted me 30k on my trade, and short of accident or major damage that would commit to that price. I felt like the manager knows about the rebate and factored that into his numbers, so rather than argue and try to skim Tim's videos in the dealership, I would accept some of it and just try to offset the price increase by about half.

If they refund me when Ford refunds them, I will pay about $125 extra in Tax up front, and have to stay on top of making sure the money comes back. So giving up about $925 overall to just get it closed out.

Truth be told it got a bit heated, I tried to keep my composure but man, after 1 year, it is really a downer to have to fight for the price agreed upon.

They quoted me 30k like 3 months ago, same this time. XL AWD Eco, Mileage has gone up by about 6k, so I guess that technically an increased offer.

They know they are in demand and the market is hot.

Unfortunately Carvana and Vroom tanked offers, so lost them for negotiating power.

Hope you have better shipping luck. Have not heard anyone else comment that their MAV was shipped from the factory, but only made it over the boarder. Shipped Friday night. arrived in Arizona Saturday morning 10:35AM. CS says will not have a railcar# until it moves from there. So guessing they kicked my MAV off the train and is siting until loaded onto another train.

Noting the trade in value was using Carmax, via KBB.com

Dealer offer is close to current KBB, which states 30-34k.

I am hoping my order hops on a train this week, cautiously optimistic about the time frame, the sale manager said it is a reasonable estimate.

I am going to look into advanced agreement for my xlt 4k eb. If nothing else this will be a good data point

Didn’t you pick that XL up for about $28k OTD?

Yes that's correct. Unfortunately I am loosing a big chunk of equity to offset the price increase that won't be price protected.

Pretty disgusted with 2/3 dealers I have worked with in the past year. Sewell by far gets 5 stars and I can't recommend enough. Wishing I had ordered the Hybrid there, 16 hour round trip is worth it for the honesty and transparency at this point.

Thanks, I look forward to getting it and hopefully can get things locked in next week.
