Not backwards. Just wrong. The hybrid gets better mileage no matter the roads traveled. The benefit is just greatly lessened at higher speeds. EPA says 30mpg for the Ecoboost and 33mpg for the Hybrid, both on the highway.

I routinely beat the EPA's numbers, and would assume that a feather-footed ecoboost driver could as well, but I'd expect the relative relationship between them to stay roughly even.

The article states that the hybrid gets better highway mileage, and the echo gets better in-town mileage. . . Isn't this backwards?

I believe that list is bestselling, not best truck if you thought that. Hilarious photo of a very old Toyota Tacoma...
I just thought it was cool, only unibody truck on the list, and number 6 too. I did notice the old Taco, new one was at the top of the article tho

A. I. Research,
I saw lots of incorrect data, not to mention a few of those trucks are horribly unreliable and way over priced.
The old auto market two step dance.
It keeps you looking at shiny paint and fancy front ends so you won’t see or know the truth.

Click bait.

I think what the video intended to convay is if you do a lot of miles; say from being on the highway all the time vs in the city all the time, doing fewer miles, then the fuel mileage is less critical because your're using less fuel.
