I watched one of the YouTube videos he said the moon roof is a major delay. My Wife wanted that on the XLT AWD with The Luxury Package that I ordered her (on July 2nd). Is that true?

I’ve seen a few get build dates.I watched one of the YouTube videos he said the moon roof is a major delay. My Wife wanted that on the XLT AWD with The Luxury Package that I ordered her (on July 2nd). Is that true?
I was told they just added a second shift at the plant this week but that means itll be atleast 3 weeks bore that shift is running as smoothly as the first shift and even then theyre not putting out large numbers as this is the first ecvt that Ford is making in house.I should think that the eCVT production would be in full swing in the next few weeks, leaving plenty of time to ship them in bulk to Mexico for October builds. If Ford cannot ramp up the build rate for something as simple as an eCVT then they have bigger issues at the core of their operation. The only new thing for Ford is the large electric motors, and perhaps that is what is slowing the production learning curve.
Per the tracking on this site, XL orders are about 10% of total orders. Per the scheduled build tracking on the Reddit
forum, 9.5% of the builds already scheduled are XL’s. They’re being scheduled in line with what was ordered, there just isn’t as many of them.
Moon Roof is not one of the delays.I watched one of the YouTube videos he said the moon roof is a major delay. My Wife wanted that on the XLT AWD with The Luxury Package that I ordered her (on July 2nd). Is that true?
I'm with you. I'll just wait for it, but it's not like we get premium tires. Just build the thing and throw some rubber on there.A little bummed the late availability for 4K Tow on FWD is due to tires. Oh well I want what I want.
I think the eCVT in the Escape Hybrid is built at the same factory as the new eCVT for the Maverick, the only difference is that now Ford is also building the electric motors for the Maverick version.I was told they just added a second shift at the plant this week but that means itll be atleast 3 weeks bore that shift is running as smoothly as the first shift and even then theyre not putting out large numbers as this is the first ecvt that Ford is making in house.
I was told the escape parts were 3rd party built, its still fords design, that and i know it is slightly updated which would explain the multi week shutdown at the plant to get all the tooling setup for it. They just started production back up like last week or the week before.I think the eCVT in the Escape Hybrid is built at the same factory as the new eCVT for the Maverick, the only difference is that now Ford is also building the electric motors for the Maverick version.
Build assignments aren’t until Thursday, August 12, for October production runs.Been surprisingly quiet in this thread so far, likely due to some of the info here indicating dealers not having huge October allocations.... I'll still hold out hope though, dammit! LOL
