  1. 📢 Official: Free AWD Upgrade Offered to Customers With Cancelled FWD 2.0L + 4K Tow Package Orders

Ok, so all of us who ordered 4k with FWD are either ignorant, idiots, or both. I've held a class A CDL for over 20 years and have a pretty good idea about what can be towed with what vehicle. I ordered the 4k not for towing but for the higher capacity cooling system and transmission cooler...
  2. Production Maverick XL delivered to dealer!

Looks real nice. Looking forward to getting my own in Dec. No bed liner here, also don't care about exposed welds/ bolts/holes/etc. It's a truck bed. I may cut a sheet of plywood to toss in there when I load rocks or wood to keep from denting it up.
  3. 📢 Official: Free AWD Upgrade Offered to Customers With Cancelled FWD 2.0L + 4K Tow Package Orders

I meet the requirements for this. If my dealer mentions it, I may consider it. If they don't, I'm good. No real desire for AWD.
  4. Spare donut vs a real spare tire

It's like any option. If you order a sliding rear window, they don't send the base window as well. And Ford isn't going to include 4 extra steel wheels from the base XL when you ordered the XLT.
  5. Bedliner on Ford's Accessories web site

I also like the plastic drop in liners. I load up big rocks by hand & can just slide them around on these. Had drop in liner on my 99 S-10. Pulled it off 12 years later to install a shell, no rust. Some spots where it had worn the paint from vibrations. Also was in an area with rain, snow...
  6. The XL Trim Maverick Thread

I like the blue. Thought it was going to be all black & gray. Looks good.
  7. 📬 9/16 Scheduling Email Received Group!

Order confirmed 7/23. Build date rec. today, week of 11/6. XL 2.0 Cactus grey Hitch reciever Full size spare Bed extender
  8. 25 MPG for Maverick EcoBoost 2.0L AWD, 1 MPG Less Than FWD

My 2003 Celica GT is a 1.8 liter, 2500 lbs, 140 hp 5 speed and gets about 32 mpg highway. Maverick Ecoboost 2.0 liter is 1000 lbs heavier, produces over 100 more hp, and is said to get around 30 mpg highway. Pretty efficient, in my opinion.
  9. Your Maverick aftermarket plans

I'd be interested to see what kayak rack you come up with. I don't really want to drill in the bed rails to mount the one I have. Also not looking to spend $500 on it.
  10. Getting real tired of the $20k truck argument. ..rant

I want a brand new model of my 1996 tacoma: manual locking hubs, manual windows & locks, manual transmission, nearly indestructible 4 cyl engine, regular cab. Never going to happen, so I I'm happy that Ford is offering something of a similar size in my price range. Is there stuff I'm not...
  11. How to replace the orange parts / pieces in the XLT?

Sounds good. No telling when we will get our vehicles, so if you get yours first feel free to trade with another XL owner. Hopefully there will be a buy/sell/trade section here eventually.
  12. How to replace the orange parts / pieces in the XLT?

Ship them to me. I will simultaneously ship you my black XL ones. Done.
  13. Great pop-up truck camper for Hybrid ?

Just got done looking at those online. Pretty nice, light, and a usable trailer as well. If I find 10 grand in the couch cushions I'd get one.
  14. What are you cooking/grilling tonight?

Nice. Hope it's on regular TV, I'm a cheap a$$ and use an antenna. I'm a Kansas State guy but enjoy any college game.
  15. What'd you put in dash Cubby Hole (space next display screen)?

I'm getting some TP for my dashhole.
  16. Has anyone had Covid? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

Had it at the beginning. Started off feeling like strep, progressed to sinus infection, then was hammered with fever and diahrea. Lost smell & taste for about a week. Had only a couple of days in bed with the fever, no trouble breathing & no hospital. No lasting effects. Hang in there...
  17. Which Maverick trim model did you get and why?

XL, because I still need enough $$ to buy beer and cheeseburgers. Would have chosen 2XL so it would match all my shirts, but Ford doesn't offer this trimming.
  18. Anyone else scared to sell their current vehicle this soon?

I have to wait. If I get rid of my celica now, I have months of driving my 96 Tacoma to work. This involves a 12 mile stretch of 6% grade. It's fine going down to work, obviously. Coming home though, up the mountain in temps around 120 (for real) sometimes, it's 55 mph if there's no...
  19. 2022 Maverick bed length with tailgate down = 78 3/4” - 79" Inches (Tape Measured Dimension)

More BS. I want to see it done with a giant micrometer, by someone with a PhD and 22 years of truck bed measurements experience.
  20. Acoustic Windshields?

AZ roads are just fine so long as you are prepared to: 1. Drive no faster than 25 mph 2. Carry at least 4 spare tires 3. Most importantly, avoid driving.
