New artificial sound?

We had our Mav in for first oil change, emissions recall, and rattle from front last week. My wife's been driving the truck since then, but when she pulled in from work today I had just gotten out of my car, and it sounds like the "fake" noise maker under the front has added a little bit of a growl noise?

I'll have to go find video of the original noise to compare, unless anyone else has noticed it.

In the case of Hybrids and EVs Federal Standards require an external sound be generated for pedestrian safety below 30 kmh.

Since my 24 Mav hybrid was in for service last Wed I have also noticed an increase in noise at low speeds when in EV mode.

The check engine lite came on while on a road trip(steady not blinking); it was a short in the electrical connection made when my ARE shell was installed. The dealer also did the turn signal recall. I was not aware of any other software updates; and none were mentioned either.

I wonder if the turn signal software update also mucked with that sound. If so, I think I'll skip it.

Maybe they forgot to reinstall some of the underbody shields and made the low speed sound louder?

The sound "speaker" is behind the "cutout" for the driver's side "foglamp" incase you were wondering.

It is a joke, but you are right, I did not get the context of your response. I had my mav for like a week and I was backing out of a spot and almost hit someone. My previous car did not have a back up camera or tented windows so it was all new to me. So I apologized to the guy and ask if he heard the back up indicator and he said "no". That is when I thought how stupid that Ford put the back up sounder in the front of the vehicle.
