I took that video and you can't really hear it on the video but it was a very faint "ping-ping-ping." probably 3 pings per second.

I doubt they care what sound people would customize, they just care that people would disable it all together. Which people totally would. Because they're jerks.

Jerks always get the fun stuff taken away.

And I know exactly were the cat was when I back it up, because he goes running (even if he is across the yard)

What sounds loud in your office is undetectable on, say, a moderately busy intersection. Its all relative.

Darn hearing in general. I almost got run over by a 15 ton vehicle in Iraq at night because hearing conditions are hard to intuit. If a turreted armored vehicle can sneak up on someone, a vehicle running on its electric drive sure can.

I even say 6,not 4,4,3,2,1 the range is hot though so we know I am weird
