It has now been a year since the 25 has been out on the roads. At first I didn't care for the photos of what was to come. The front facia looked like it was tacked on like an afterthought. Now after a year of seeing them on the road, I think it really looks good. Very up to date. There is a big difference between the press photos and seeing them in person. Now my 22 XLT kind of looks dated :(

But not dated enough to fork out the cash for a new one :)

What are your thoughts?

I fully agree. Particularly the Lariats and Tremors look great in person, but I'm still satisfied with my 2022 for the money.

But I also think the Maverick's styling is still 4 years behind the rest of the industry. My 2022 looks like a 2018 model at best. Thankfully, the 2025 model looks like it belongs in this decade.. as a 2021.
(I recognize that this will be a controversial opinion :))

I went from a 22 to a 25. I got the 25 for $4500 plus 1K sales tax difference. I first did not like the front end. I do now. Happy I upgraded.

If you can get a good resale and hit the 25's when the 26's roll in you might come out without too much cost and end up with a new warranty and a new vehicle with some upgrades. Lots of 25's on the lots it seems to me.

I find the two pretty equivalent.

The most distinctive things about Mavs are the side profile, particularly the elegant (yup) rear cab pillar curve at the bottom, and the overall size and stance. These are the elements that I believe cause the positive reactions I hear. The front end details don’t really change any of that.

I have a 25.

No opinion other than it is an update....and it sells. So the update is good.

I'd buy a 2025, just to get the ecoboost engine improvements, but I'd hold my nose while doing it. It makes a huge difference what color it is. Darker colors hide it better. I am wagering the 2027 refresh gets a new nose, but I'm not wagering more than $5.

But who really cares what someone else likes? There someone for everyone. As true for automobiles as it is for spouses.

2025 is a coverup. Lipstick on a pig. I prefer the pig.
Do you know what is under the plastic that covers the lower portion of the headlight? The same headlight housing as the pre 2025.

I was one who said the 2025s looked like total ass but time has a way of softening the blow and I do agree the 22-24 looks stately, but dated compared to the 25+

I hate the new front end, but not enough to buy the competitor's hybrid mini truck...

lol
What competitor has a hybrid mini truck?
