I put Maybetts on my truck. Passenger front came loose. Bottom puch pin clip was gone and the middle one had a broken clip. Half on one side. Top was still in but it was swinging side to side and flapping towards the tire. Thinking about using plastic rivets or licence plate inserts so I can thread small stainless screws in. Seems flimsy with just push clips. My solution for the flap gap on the left rear mudflap. I bought a 12x12 piece of kydex on Amazon, .080 thick. Had to cut about 1 inch off the side . Removed one upper plastic clip, and slid the piece of kydex up so it looks like the mirror image of the right side area behind the right flap.
Used a stainless 1/4 inch bolt and washers and a self locking nut to hold the top, and drilled 2 holes in the bottom and held with the extra clips from the mabett flap install.
I hope these pics show up, my computer skills are lacking. I got the install done quicker than trying to post this thread.

Why can’t Mabett simply modify the driver side rear design mudflap to eliminate any gap up to the wheel well? If they offered that one modified mudflap to current Mabett mudflap customers, I would buy that one replacement mudflap in a second! I think others would also, to protect the open void behind the driver side wheel well. Mabett …. Are you listening ….???

There's at least 1 or 2 threads about their mudflaps. They may still be sending replacement clips if asked but it takes a long time to arrive. Hope this helps.I put Maybetts on my truck.
