All interesting. I once took MiL car to car wash. After the wash, car being wiped down, a worker walked up to me to hand me the front license plate. Rip off the car.

In the past I took my F250 to same car wash. It’s wipers flew around, one became dislodge, moved.

It was difficult for me to wash that F250, it bring so tall. With this lower height Maverick, easier to wash myself, with a telescopic wash boom/pad.
I had the outside cab light of my F150 blow off one time. Well, actually, it EXPLODED!!

No shit. I've owned 7 Corvettes since 2008, including 2 C8s, I take mine through auto car washes 2-3 times a WEEK ( i have an unlimited plan) never had an issue. Not once. People freak out all the time when I tell them this. I also take my Mav through about once a week. I do only use the touchless option, but I cannot believe how many people swear their car is going to melt or fall apart or explode by simply using a car wash. We drive these things through hail and rain and snow and heavy winds, but you think it can't handle a touchless car wash?

Trust me your baby will be okay.
Touch free is the way to go. There is a local brush type wash that scratched the living shit out of my last car. Never again.

Our local touch free also has hand wash stations with pressure washers. I hit it with high pressure soap to blow the surface dirt off then run through the no touch to finish. I do have to hand dry but it comes out looking like new.

This. Your vehicle is constantly pelted with dust, rain, snow, ice, and debris from the load Billy Bob in front of you didn't secure properly. Don't get me started on dump trucks covering a highway in dust/dirt, or semi trailers blinding people with snow and ice from not clearing it off.... A car wash is very low on the list of concerns.

One more reason for me now to stay the hell out of car washes. I was thinking the touch less ones would not be too bad but hearing this, nope. Nada. Zip.
I have always stayed out of car washes as I don't like water on my face. I even wash it with a damp cloth!

I have only had my lariat 22 months and the dealer washes it free while out of my sight Everytime I go in for oil change, recall, get dealer item installed, etc. in short mine gets washed about every 90-120 days plus I have washed lightly with a wand 4-5 times.

Rarely but we did have to hide in water in nam. One guy had 37 leeches. You can stay still and quiet when looking at wrong end of a dozen or more AK's. Maybe been in swimming pools 20-25 times since 15 year old.

Man I wish our local no-touch car wash had blowers that strong. The ones at ours barely blow the water off and you have to hand dry afterwards to avoid water spots.

You guys find the weirdest things to worry about.
Man, I have to worry about the First Edition decals!

Are you one of the 7 little Johnston's needing a telescopic boom/pad for a maverick?

Man, this sounds like a personal problem you should have checked out by a specialist.

Ha! Not exactly.
But I use Telescopic boom w pad to do top, easily reach to mid part of top, AND lower parts of the truck. It’s easier on my bum back. Dig?

There's touchless washes for that now too.

I think I average 4 washes a year. Kinda low on the priority list and waste of money and time to pay someone to do it.
Wait.... Are you still talking about butts or cars? 🤣
