Just got my first about a software update on the backup cam....I ain't skeered!

Got 4 so far. 2 regarding the rear light, both taken care of. 3rd was windshield wiper motor. Just took care of this one this week. 4th will be the camera/screen freeze. So far no issues with it, yet still under recall. Guess I won’t use reverse?

I got that one but luckily I haven't had any problems with the camera. My belief is it'll work fine UNTIL they update the software and then it'll start messing up. But I don't rely just on the camera any way so even if it froze I'm ok. Heck my wife even noticed that 9 out of 10 times I back up I never look at the camera because I forget I have it because it is the first time in 41 years I have driven a car with a camera.

Got mine yesterday. Says there's an active recall on my truck, but they don't know what to do about it and they would send me another letter when they did..

Yeah, no kidding. Cannot go for more than 5 months without getting one.

I know one of the automotive reviewing companies did a thing about how many recalls popular vehicle owners should expect, based on the average number of recalls per model from a given brand. They said Maverick owners should expect at least 20 during the life of the vehicle. The market average was less than 10.

I got the same letter yesterday. This will be just the second recall on my truck. I am still happy with the truck and plan to keep right on trucking!

Back in 1989 letter was only way to get one, and I got a couple for Mazda/Mercury combo.

Mine got forwarded from Ohio to Florida the other day. The first thing I read was there is NO fix as of ther letter date.

I don't rely on my camera solely, and I have not noticed it freeze yet.
