Here's our rides. '14 Tri Glide and Softail Slim. We bought the trike when I was starting to have trouble holding up our Electra Glide with both the wife and I on it. She has a tendency to stand up and take pictures when we stop at an intersection, or turn around to wave at someone. LOL.

But when I'm by myself, I still like to be on two wheels.

You guys only have a few months a year that you can ride comfortably. Out here in AZ we can ride year round (the 110+ days suck, but the nights aren't that bad)

True, but in the off season we're SUPPOSED to be able to ride our snowmobiles to help make up for it.

Not this year, though. No snow yet?!

All I get is to sit on my sled in the garage and make motor sounds with my mouth. Brm, brm!

Bumping this thread since I just found it.

My 2007 Honda VFR800. I found it in-crate in 2009 and got a smoking deal on it. At the time, Honda both overproduced bikes and was also clearing out a facility in Ohio, so they had several models dirt cheap. Also, there was a recession or something. :p
I watched them assemble it and I bought it with 0.0 miles.

Pic is a dozen years old and is from a stop on the way home from Tail of the Dragon, which I have ridden to/from/on twice. (The museum is awesome and I highly recommend it!)

The bike is a sweeter freeway cruiser than you would think by the looks of it. It is somewhat heavy (stable) and not that punishing - but 2,500 miles in 5 days will get you eventually... After owning a V-4, I can never own any other style of engine. The sound is gloooorious.

Digging thru a box of old pictures recently I found a picture of my very first motorcycle. A 1971 Honda SL100. Man, I had fun on that bike. Year round.

And since I'm going down memory lane, here's my old Shovelhead parked next to my Chrysler Cordoba.

I begged my dad for a Honda 100 back in the '70s. He owned a small amount of AMF stock then, so, in 1975, he got me my first motorcycle: a Harley-Davidson SXT-125 instead of a Honda. The AMF years might not have been the greatest for Harley, but they did offer the fun Italian-imported on/off road models back then!

The bikes were made by Aermacchi, which evolved into Cagiva. Coincidentally, Cagiva owned Ducati when I bought my 1995 900SS SP many years later.

Very cool! Dirt bikes were everything to me and my friends growing up. It makes me sad that kids don't have the same opprotunity or maybe interest in the small bikes anymore. A few do, but not anywhere near the same level as back in the 70's and 80's.

This is "Rocinante", my 1975 BMW R90/6. I bought it after it had been sitting for over 32 years. Old gasoline turned to smelly jell in the tank and carbs, tires as solid as rock. BUT only 34,000 miles on the clock. I cleaned what needed cleaned, rebuilt what needed to be rebuilt, switched out the nuts/bolts/washers to stainless steel, and replaced the parts needed replaced. Then I upgraded with lots of "period correct" goodies that would have been upgrades back in the late '70s. I also did a modern upgrade to the front brake, "period correct" be damned, you can't skimp on brakes, especially when the originals are "OK" at best.

I ride a 2017 Honda Africa Twin as well as a 2008 Yamaha TW200. Best of both worlds.
Loaded the TW in the back of the Maverick before but prefer to pull my trailer behind. Much easier to load.

Got this a few years ago because it was lighter and lower seat height than my previous bike. Easier to swing a leg over and move around when my joints are hurting. Rides a little rough- I may try to improve at least the front springs.
