For my 2022 Maverick:

Putting $3,000 on the FordPass Visa card earned 30,000 points.
A bonus of 11,000 points were earned for the first purchase
and a statement credit of $100 was also earned

I also got the 42,000 points for purchasing the 2022 Maverick

Total of FordPass points 83,000 (worth $415) plus $100 statement credit

I used these points and credit to buy the Hard Drop-in Bedliner and the Front/Rear Splash Guards for FREE

On my 2023 Maverick:

I put $5,000 on the FordPass Visa card which earned 50,000 points.

I also got the 42,000 points for purchasing the 2023 Maverick

Total of FordPass points 92,000 (worth $460)

I have used these points to get the Ford Bed Mat, Cubby for the Driver Side in the Bed and a Tailgate liner for FREE

I still have 31,172 points remaining. A $155.86 value
Not into credit but will get that card just for points.

Never had a car payment and never will. Save up the money in an interest bearing account and pay cash.

FordPass points won't buy much. With my 2023 XL points I have enough for a set of floor mats and not much else.

Bought mine in February of 2023 at 5.75% with the credit union my dealer used. Paid it off in September of 2023 so just 7 months of interest. I hate paying interest...

I beg to differ in that FordPass points can buy a lot.

1/03/2022 Used 18,884 points ($94.42) for Splash Guards from Fairway Ford:
NZ6Z*16A550*AA $39.38 + NZ6Z*16A550*AB $39.38 + $15.66 Shipping

1/24/2022 Used 64,116 points ($320.58) plus $83.73 of the $100 FordPass Visa Rebate
for the Hard Drop-in Bed Liner from Bill Utter Ford
NZ6Z*9900038*A $373.50 + $30.81 Sales Tax

10/05/2023 Used 34,640 points ($173.20) for Ford Bed Mat from Sam Pack's Five Star Ford
NZ6Z*99112A15*B $160.00 + $13.20 Sales Tax

10/16/2023 Used 26,356 points ($131.78) from Fairway Ford for:

NZ6Z-60286A72-A
Maverick OEM Genuine Ford Parts Bed Cargo Partition Storage Bin
$36.54
1
$36.54
W505424-S450B
Mirror Assembly Bolt
$5.00
2
$10.00
NZ6Z-9900038-C
Tailgate Liner Kit
$64.00
1
$64.00

plus $21.24 shipping

I still have 31,172 ($155.86) FordPass points remaining for future parts purchases.

By using the FordPass Visa Card for the two down payments of $3,000 on the 2022 Maverick and $5,000 on the 2023 Maverick I got:

2022 Maverick
30,000 + 11,000 = 41,000 points ($205) + $100 rebate = $305 total value

2023 Maverick
50,000 points ($250) = $250 total value

So total value of $555 by using the FordPass Visa Card while not paying any interest on it as I paid it off in full on first statement.

No way can any interest bearing account earn $555 on $8,000 in two months.

I'm only interested in the Maverick floor mats which will use up 39,000 of my 42,000 pass points. If 200 pass points equal $1.00 then those floor mats cost $195. That's expensive for floor mats but that's what I need and feel forced to buy just to use up the points. Your use of credit cards is not applicable to folks like me and how many people buy two Mavericks? But most important for some of us is the peace of mind that comes with being debt free. You can't place a monetary value on that.

We have been debt FREE since 2000 when we paid off our mortgage early in only 13 years.

We have a number of charge cards. Note the term charge cards and not credit cards.

These charge cards are credit cards that we owe/owned and pay off every single month in full with cash so that we never pay any interest.

These charge cards earn rebates which over time really add up to real cash in that the ones we have give us cash back that we redeem as statement credit.

These are the cards we own/owned and what they earn for specific categories and the total earned so far:

Bank of America 8/13 - Present : 3% on Gas: $2,008.52
Chase Freedom 9/06 - 6/21: 2-3% on Selected Purchases then 1% on Anything: $3,278.28
Chase Unlimited: 4/18 - Present: 1.5% on Anything: $1,734.52
Citi 11/05 - 9/14: 1% on Anything: $2,067.98
Citi Unlimited: 3/21 - Present: 2% on Anything: $980.88
Discover: 5/95 - 9/03: $1146.62
Exxon 2/95 - 2/12: $2,366.72 in FREE Gas
Shell 11/94 - 3/02: $298.27 in FREE Gas
US Bank 7/18 - Present: 5% on Utilities and Fast Food: $1,303.59
Other short term rebate cards: $295.67
Ford FordPass Visa: $100 + 91,000 points ($455) for a Total of $555

We also had a Ford Card in the early 90's that allowed us to earn 5% on any purchase with a limit of $700 earned per year that can be applied as a rebate to any new Ford Vehicle purchase.

This card was only available for five years before Ford changed the terms.

We earned the full $700 the first year and applied the $700 to our purchase of a 1994 Ford Taurus

The next four years we earned the full amount each year for a total of $2,800 + 36 Extra Bonus

We applied the $2,836 along with a $1,000 and $500 rebate to my purchase of a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab. The rebates totaled $4,336.

The 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab had a window sticker MSRP of $20,270 and we paid $15,066.70 total out-the-door which includes all taxes, title and fees.

The full total of all the above rebates is: $19,572.05
That is FREE money.

We never paid any interest as all cards were paid in full on every statement.

Having charge cards (credit cards that are paid in full each month) does not have us being in debt and the benefits shown above prove that using them instead of paying cash on each transaction can be quite rewarding.

That's awesome! Way to use the system in your favor!

We've been doing the same with our Kroger rewards card for nearly 20 years, and have earned over $20K in cash back & gas discounts, at zero cost. (Yes, I know, we all pay the baked in transaction fees, but that happens most of time anyway, cash or credit.)

Didn't want a 6 year payment for my truck, so I had my old coworker run my SmartVINCENT from the day of order (9/15/22) for a 36 month lease instead. Surprisingly, there was a pseudo rate for a lease, which was better than what is currently around now. 7.07% for 36M and the residual was 57% at 15k. Went with 12k mileage so it was 59% (current at delivery was 55 at 15k. Payment was 497.11 for 36/12 with $0 down. Only 1st and tags due. Much more workable for 3 years than 6. Especially being on LTD through an insurance policy I have.

I know some may say, why lease? Last 2 Fusion Energi sedans were leases, and I like having a new car. Plus having a sub $500 a month payment for 3 years vs a $530 payment for 6 years is much more comfortable since I'm on LTD. But most importantly, I'm banking on Ford having a plug-in version by the time my lease is up on the next version of the Maverick (should be reengineered by fall 2026 or majorly redesigned. I REALLY want a plug in version for my forever car. But if they don't (which would shock me) I'm 100% content in my XLT hybrid and would happily buy it at the end. 👍

Oh, and I'm using my FordPass points for the modular bed liner. I have a midge under 9000 points now, so about 51k total and that equates to around $252 off give or take. My other old coworker is getting me the liner for $370 before the points, so my net for it will be about $120 or so before tax. Can't pass that up. 👍

I am completely not surprised that everyone replying has either paid cash or got a Ford Credit promotional interest rate locked in from '21 or '22.

I doubt these replies are useful or interesting to the OP.
Can somebody explain pls - Mine hybrid xl is roll over from '22. How do you get Ford Credit Promo rate from '22? Thanks!

I am honestly not sure if you can go that far back. You might only be able to get the rate locked-in from when your MY23 order was submitted, or if you also rolled to MY24, it would be from the date your MY24 order was submitted (which is going to be a pretty crappy rate, but still better than current market).

I would suggest searching to see if anyone has asked that specific question and if not, post a new thread in this subforum asking for help & info.
