Credit Card Payment Limit

Just put a $2K down payment on my XL with no issues. Dealer did state “because it’s the Ford Visa we’ll allow it”. Didn’t push them for a max. Was happy with that and no fee.

I put $4000 on my card because they had already put $1000 on my card for the deposit a year before (I think they said $5000 was their limit). I was writing a personal cheque so it comes down to the fee the charge card takes from their margin. I did use a different charge card to pay off most of the 3rd. Party replacement insurance but that was not with the dealer but the insurance broker.

That's what I did. $100 Costco cash, 2,000 United miles, and no interest.

On my MY22 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid I was able to put $3,000 on the FordPass Visa Card.

I earned 30,000 points as the dealer put it in as Service which earned double 5% in points.
I also got 11,000 points for first use of the FordPass Visa Card plus a $100 statement credit.

On my MY23 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid I was able to put $5,000 on the FordPass Visa Card.
I earned 50,000 points as the dealer put it in as Service which earned double 5% in points.

200 FordPass Points equals a $1 on service or parts.

So that means the 91,000 equals $455 plus the $100 in statement credit ($555 in total) using the FordPass Visa.

I earned 42,000 on both the MY22 and MY23 Mavericks so the combined total points are 175,000.
Which equals $875 in service and parts.

I paid off the FordPass Visa Card in full so no interest was ever paid.

You probably paid a fee. Credit card companies don't loan $ for free. Any dealer that doesn't charge a fee ought to find a new GM.

No fees, msrp- private offer- down payment+ tax and title, 36k on a 37.5k truck. I took paperwork to dmv & transferred tag from truck I sold. No finance fees (paid cash) no cc fees or interest since I paid paid off cc, in fact got a $100 statement credit for spending over 3k... will also take advantage of the $200 credit for spending over 6k with bed cover, warranty etc. I also get 5% of gas using a Sam's card, the trick to the cc game is not carrying a balance.
