I would go look at it before they repair so they you can see the severity of the dents.

If there are any dents on an edged surface or missing paint, PDR is not going to be enough.

There are numerous edges on the hood. This dent required a replacement hood. (Edit: there's a lot of shadows and reflections in my pic but it's one dent caused by a forearm in the center of the image. Don't even think about sitting on or leaning heavily on the hood, it's aluminum.)

Ouch. Squirrels dropped a full pinecone on my hood (like a mini torpedo) and it dented my hood. Really hoping PDR can get it out. Haven’t tried yet. Hard to capture in a pic.
My 2010 highlander has sat under the same tree for years with no problem. Not impressed with the aluminum, seems very weak.

They can get that dent out. If it were on the raised ridge like my example in a previous reply, they probably would not be able to.

My XLT arrived on Tuesday. I went to the dealership Wednesday to review pricing and test drive it. I love it. I got a message Friday at noon that the storm that came through Thursday night produced hail that damaged the entire vehicle. They're having it fixed and assured me it would be good as new. My other option was to wait another three months for a cyber orange model same as mine but with a price increase. In the mean time I sold my car tentative in purchasing the new truck. I just wondered if anyone else has used the paintless dent repair.

Yes The dent station here in Knoxville Tn. Does flawless work Their minimum charge is 99 or 108.00 out the door and fixed a dent in about an hour
Sure beats an auto body shop
I would recommend this type of dent repair-virtually perfect

Fortunately the paint is fresh enough (flexible) it should be ok with PDR. But I dunno- over the life of the vehicle will the damage reappear?

Super bummer that there's not much you can do about it! (Maybe dealer can make a claim against their insurance for the money they have to pay to repair, and could pass some on to you?)

Man I'm hoping they get mine out.
I had an experience with that technique several years ago with a Black 2500 GMC 4x4 that I throw a rock into from my mower. It dented (severely) the fender just above the front driver side wheel. šŸ™

We have a man here they called the Dent Doctor. And let me say he certainly was. I watched him working it out and it was magical. The paint was chipped at the very center of the dent and my local dealer (where he was attending to their vehicles) put one of their detailing techs on it and it too vanished (No Charge).

The Dent Doctor charged me like $75.00.

I wish you the same experience I had.

I’ve never had a good experience using PDR on aluminum. Even on very small dents.
My Evo had about 7k of hail damage. The only thing that couldn't be fixed with PDR was the hood because of the ridges. Decided to save some money and upgrade to a carbon hood, figuring it wouldn't decrease value. It didn't. šŸ‘

my issue would be any repaint and the removal of trim panels that most likely may not be put back correctly allowing for squeaks and rattles.....panels being replaced works for only fenders, doors and hood which the dealer most likely won't attempt.....

My wife's Subaru got hit with hail a few years back. They screwed up a lot of the interior to get to the panels.

Since you seem to be in a tight spot, if the dealership guarantees the work, then purchase the Maverick and plan for an earlier replacement than normal if you see finish issues
