I think the SC profile would look better if the bed was 1 foot longer.

Lack of a hybrid powertrain, high MSRP for what you're getting, and the Transformer styling are the three things that kept me away from the Cruz.

i feel like thats long gone be cool though. I havent see one autmaker in the us make that type of configuration. everything mid size and smaller is short bed 4d.

Not surprising. Santa Cruz is meth and the boardwalk. Mavericks is one of the most respected big wave surf spots. It’s in the name!

Hyundai sold 36,480 units
Maverick sold 74,370 units (= one truck ever 7 minutes!)

I was in the market for a Maverick at one point but ended up with a SEL Santa Cruz for just over $29k with no markup. Not sure where you got your numbers.

For sure! I actually like Santa Cruz. I was just being a dick! I’ve surfed once in Hawaii and probably won’t ever again. It’s fun and great exercise, but hella hard!
