“The hood was opened, and there, at the bottom, was a squirrel looking up at me in [its] nest,” Horowitz told Car and Driver. “Apparently the squirrel chewed through the wires as well as the Vehicle Stability Assist wire programming.” Horowitz said he was shocked when the repair bill came to a staggering $3600.
