With the fast rise of the price of gas I'm extremely happy I got the hybrid Maverick.
I got mine in December and I've gotten
37 mpg on every tank of gas!!!!

I feel for everyone who is waiting for there Mavericks. I ordered mine in July it was built in September I picked it up in December.
But it was well worth the wait.

We're not in California territory yet, but it's gone up ~$1.40/gallon in the last 10 days. It's not like the cost of gas would be a financial issue for us even if it were much more expensive, but a lot of our driving is completely unnecessary - ie., my wife has a totally remote job (as do I) yet she insists on driving into the office (~50 miles round trip) 3x/week. Just out of principal, we're probably going to chat about her using our fancy schmancy e-bikes quite a bit more soon.

Geez do I feel for people who have to make long commutes right now.

2.0 ecoboost . getting 23 around town and 31 highway . 2.5 times better than my ( sold ) f150 5.4 10 mpg city and 15 mpg highway . so I am very please with its mpg , performance and utility .

glad the wife and I dumped our jeeps last year.... she got a 2018 subaru crosstrek 6spd manual that gets 8-10L/100km. only a 150HP so its slow but better on gas.

got my mav and getting 11-12L/100km. Remote starting, short trips and cold winter has been killing my gas mileage.

Me too @mikejohn13 , but I almost questioned my timing to replace my factory 225/65/17 tires for more beefier tires......knowing that I'm going to sacrifice a little mpg in doing so. Nonetheless, feel fortunate to not live in those states where the prices are straight brutal.

Hybrid makes a lot of sense right now. Cheers!

I got the ecoboost ordered, but it's mpg is still better than what I'm getting now, and my daily commute is 90% freeway.

With how many people are still eating out at relatively expensive restaurants on weekday nights, as well as how many vehicles I see still accelerating quickly and speeding, fuel prices aren’t high enough to deter the way people in my area live (it seems).
