Sad to say we’ve had to run from Milton. But man, there's something comforting in knowing that a fueled-up Maverick hybrid will hold a lot of stuff take you a good 500+ miles in low speed stop and go traffic, and a five gallon jug of gas will give you another 200 miles of comfort. We're safe and sound on the east coast of Florida and hoping for the best.

For everyone else in this situation, best wishes and stay safe.

Hmm ... where'd you go on the east coast? They're evacuating parts of Volusia and Brevard counties now.

Let's pray that it does slow down the speed and affect the least amount of ppl possible.
Be careful what you wish for. Since I have been in Hawaii the worst one we had slowed and stalled. It weakened into a tropical storm bug sat for two days on us. Here we have so much high ground the surge isn't an issue but the water flowing down the mountain caused a lot of damage.

Hope the windspeed falls but also hope it speeds past you.

Be safe everyone.

Right on Shane, people confuse wind speed with travel speed. See it hit cat 5 again this AM, if you ain't gone, get.

Hi I also run away from west coast to east with my ECOboost maverick, with a lot of stop and go, agreed with the fuel savings of the hybrid, very impressive!

My dad used to have to do those evacuations and it's a real PITA unless you get out early. Gas was always an issue. Best of luck.

Hurricanes no fun. As former S Louisiana native, seen share of storms. And in Texas, got a few. Last one was Beryl. Lots damage with trees falling, no power for 8 days. Our Generac kept us old folks comfy.

Pray for Florida. And those NC folks.

We’re in Ft Lauderdale, Broward county. Expecting some wind and rain here, but not much more (hopefully!)

More like 700 miles on a full tank of gas but yes, great vehicle specifically great at slow n go and stop n go driving.
