From my experience, I've worked for captive agencies and brokerage agencies before. I've always found better results with single carrier agencies. Brokerage agencies tend to have brokerage fees and do not get selective rates with carriers.I got quotes from several insurance companies before taking delivery. At the time there was quite a discrepancy or difference. I went with the least expensive. 6 months later they raised the price at renewal. So I again got different quotes. Ended up saving more than my original premium. Also switch my UTV insurance over as well and saved on that as well.
I highly suggest contacting an insurance agency that uses multiple insurance companies. For example if they use 10 insurance companies that's 10 calls you don't have to make. Best of luck, hope you can get insurance and save a few bucks at the same time.
If you have the time for it, just call companies directly and you'll get selective rates. I can produce a Farmers Insurance policy cheaper than a broker selling our same policy.
