I think I understand what you’re saying. I typically get gas from HEB or Sam’s Club. Every time I get a full tank and leave with about 330 something miles. I went to another gas station got a full tank on a road trip and left that station with almost 430 miles. Unfortunately idk what would cause this but it’s weird!

I drove 20 miles the other day but the miles to empty registered 56 and then 55 at the end. My question is, am I Jeff Goldblum and do you have any sugar?

Has anybody found a popular gas station such as Walmart that you actually get the amount of gas the Maverick can hold Walmart has me at full at 313 miles to empty i have had Marathon give me 400 miles to empty but Marathon Gas stations isn't that popular
The gas has nothing to do with it! It’s calculated by what your last mpg was when you filled up!

The gas stops filling when it sense the tank is full! It shuts off faster because it gets full faster! It has nothing to do with MPG!

Am I taking crazy pills? Are you all just trolling here?
It's very concerning that we are now on page 4.....

pick up a 2 gallon gas can, fill it up, plunk it in your truck bed , go to either walmart of marathon and then you'll always have at least 400 miles til fillup.

My first thought. Can't believe it took until page 3!

Also, OP if you really, truly believe that one gas station gives you 400 DTE and another 3xx - just only go to the 400 one! Problem solved.

So how did I have 400 miles to empty now getting 313 miles to empty it's not consistent miles from full to empty
Try speaking in gallons. That is the accepted measurement.

Don't worry, as soon as this rolls off the active list it will be replaced by this weeks edition of 'how much air should I put in my tires'.

OP, I assume you are using the same grade of fuel at both stations.

I use to have a Flex fuel vehicle and when filling with flex fuel the miles to empty dropped a lot from what the unleaded miles to empty was. I'm thinking there's a sensor that calculated miles to empty based on quality/octane pumped?

Where you buy gas is irrelevant. The computer which keeps track of your driving habits and milage determines the miles to empty reading. That varies constantly because you are not driving on a flat road at a constant speed. What matters is the reading for total miles driven MPG, not how much gas you are filling your tank with at various times. I know from my Hybrid that getting 46.5 MPG is not easy. I start from start slowly, if no one is behind me, and coast as far as I can before stopping. I use the "L" on the dial shifter to help slow down and generate more battery power. I use the "Power Flow" app on the center screen to help me keep as much "electric" driving as possible as well as the "drive coach" on the left side screen. There is a setting that uses a horizontal bar to show which driving mode the truck is in, Electric, Charging or Hybrid. I use the bar all the time. If you can moderate the gas paddle to keep the "electric" driving in that bar, you will max milage. The issue is with the Hybrid that I have noticed is the battery that powers the driving motor isn't powerful enough to get up to speed, say 45 mph, if you have to keep up with traffic. the engine will always kick in. But if you headed down a hill or slight decline, you can max the electric driving until the battery has to be recharged again by the engine. From my experience it will be a challenge to get to 50MPG in my area North of Atlanta. It's hilly here and not many flat surface roads. I'm one of those guys that tries my level best to max the MPG, you have to be totally focused using your driving skills without getting in the way of drivers behind you.

That's different, the computer knows within a few miles the amount of gas being burnt for the miles traveled is not as high.

Grades of regular unleaded gas aren't going to vary nearly as much. And the same octane but different brands is probably the same exact gasoline in a region..... It all comes from the same regional tanks....

Are you saying Walmart cheats their customers out of gas? That would be quite the crime! Thinking maybe you made a mistake?
