IDK....I fill up at Sams Club (not top tier) most times and MTE is usually right around 500 in 2.0 EcoBoost. I suppose carbon is going to encapsulate my valves and need walnut blasting by 75k miles ?? Be interested to know if any owners of higher milage Mavericks with Ecoboost have noticed any issues with carbon buildup on valves(especially ones that don't use top tier gas all the time)?? Is this still an issue with this particular Direct Inject engine??
wondering why we're not hearing of intake valves coking up in turbo diesels, they've been DI forever. with the number of miles driven by semi trucks you'd think it would be an annual event.

No just which one would get me to 400 MTE longer miles I can drive before worrying about filling up like if I know a place is 400 miles and my truck gets 400 miles well I know when i get to my destination I need to fill up not like oh my truck only has 313 MTE hope I am not on the expressway and have to worry about finding a town with a gas station and then getting back on the expressway to go the extra miles but others have said it could be the pump it could be several factors so I am stuck finding towns along the way for a gas station and hope getting back on the expressway isn't a pain plus not running out of gas
^^^ this is one continuous sentence ^^^ :cwl:

So how did I have 400 miles to empty now getting 313 miles to empty it's not consistent miles from full to empty
I believe it is based on MPG you are getting at the time of fill up. MPG X Gallons in tank. You won't get the same miles to empty in city vs road. MPG is always changing depending on driving conditions.

From my experience the miles to empty is figured by your mpg at fill up times the full tank amount which is 16.5 I think. If you have been driving around town and are showing 22 mpg that will be times 16.5. If you are on the interstate and have been averaging 32 miles per gallon then times that by 16.5 and that is your miles to empty. It has nothing to do with the gas station unless one pump shuts off sooner than another and doesn't actually give you a full tank.
