70 plus here. Absolutely love my 2010 F150.....FE be damned. Hate to part with it. Less the 90K miles. Has all the stuff I like but not available on the Maverick.
Will not fit in my garage, Im not a person who likes to park on driveway or the street. So off it goes when Maverick arrives...some day maybe.

I prefer to describe myself as “approaching middle age.” No one else describes me like that.

I'll be 50 early next year. I don't feel like I should be approaching 50, wasn't high school just a few years ago?

This is the second new truck I have purchased (well I am a little premature, I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow). The first was a 1992 Mitsubishi Mighty Max Regular Cab 2WD I bought new for something like $6900 when I was 19. It had a massive options list, AC (they didn't all have it), an AM/FM radio, trim rings for the steel wheels, a rear bumper (most of them didn't have this one), and a 5-speed manual. The sticker on it was around $8500 but it was the end of the model year so I got it for $6900. I ended up selling it to a friend a few years later when I wanted a car that got better gas mileage. He drove it for like 8 more years, then it got totaled by a deer. It probably could have been fixed but it was over 150k miles and 10 years old by then.

Since then I have owned several used trucks all of them small or mid-size:

-1993 Ford Ranger Extended Cab 2WD
-1992 Mazda B2200 Regular Cab 2WD (my avatar)
-2005 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab 4WD

The current state of trucks bothered me. I like trucks but I just don't need, or want, something the size of a F-150, Ram, or Silverado. I have always liked the small trucks so the Maverick gives me the utility I want without the size and bad gas mileage I don't need.

22 here. Wanted to get rid of my Mustang as half the year is rough in IA with it, got wind of the Maverick around September, researched and perfectly fit my truck needs and anything I would need. taking delivery likely this week or next. Excited.
I live in a warmer climate. :)

I'm 34.

I tend to buy performance/fun oriented cars but i needed a daily to drive to my office twice a month. I'm also remodeling my house so the Maverick really fits the bill. I wish it was a little more heavy duty but I have no real complaints.

i have heard Ford was targeting young first time truck buyers. The club has a data base with our ages and I would like to see the demographics for the club. Most of the people I see driving a Maverick appear to be over 40. I am 77 so this could be interesting data. This could help us if we were of a mind to sell our trucks.
59 when I ordered. Pick up this afternoon and I just turned 61.

Oh gosh lol I should have known that.

Oh lol I should have known that. I’ve only seen one Mav where I live and the driver appeared to be a late teen/early 20’s guy. I’m 36 and this is my first Ford and first truck. I personally have not seen any ads for a Maverick so IDK if Ford active advertised to a certain demographic.
There aren't really any TV ads, but looking at Ford's website all the photos of the Maverick have it surrounded by millennials doing "active millennial" stuff.

I’m 57 and this is my third truck…… 93 F-150 I had for about two years until I changed jobs and had a longer commute. Traded down to a 94 Ranger which I owned from Feb 95 to March 2022. (353,000+ miles)

I’m glad I was able to get a Maverick because even the redesigned Ranger is more truck than I really need.

Ford thought it would be all 20 somethings buying these. I'm 56.

66. Reminds me of the same demographic Honda was going for with the Element. Aimed at 20-30 indeed up with 40+
Thing is younger set for the most part doesn't appreciate practicality.
