I like this much better than the original, but the cost stymied me from doing this. That, and the loss of the XLT designation on it. I decided to go low tech and just modified existing amber markers I got from AMZ. No muss, no fuss. Just some 3M tape and few minutes to cut and trim the plastic.

Sorry. Should have done it. I had a hard time finding ones that were 2" wide and fit the existing indentation. These were perfect. Just had to do a template and cut off the angle and grind it smooth.

Honestly? The Food Stamp Edition? You bought the cheapest truck on the market! Lariat or not it is still the best budget friendly truck out there. You want to degrade those who might not have it like you do!?! Brother There are plenty of things I would like to call you but I am a better man! I am a disabled man who lives on a very small monthly budget. I raise 5 daughters and i have made this work for me. This is the truck I can afford. This is not exactly an open letter to Mabett, but...

Come on. Really? How do you miss the passenger door issue? Like many have reported, I cannot open my passenger door without breaking the side marker. Drivers door - OK, Passenger side - not so much. How did you miss this, and still continue to market them them after it's been reported? Not everybody has a Dremel, or tool shop, or whatever. The redesigned lights are great - I'd prefer clear (brighter) than smoked lenses, but that's me - however you released a product that is, by any definition, defective without user modification.

Likely the raised portion is to make the turn signal easier to see.

I don't know they're easy to see from the side obviously and the rear. But the front is more difficult because the raised portion in front of the LEDs. Whether or not that portion is needed to be raised to cover resistors I don't know.

These are LEDs I purchased from super bright LEDs, to use under my clear reflectors on the OEM fender insert.

No problem.

If you look on page 5 here post 71 I show the clear lenses I bought as well as one of the amber LEDs I plan to use in them. First I need to see if theres a way the chrome XLT can be removed off the fender badge. Or if I'm going to have to struggle with painters tape to paint the chrome.

Don't like them.pretty ugly.i like the original ones even though they weren't reliable cuz I'm on my third set now and still don't work properly.good luck with those.

I also prefer the old style. Had mine dark tinted to preserve the BAP look (4/2024)
No problem, so far.
