On a side note.
Would that $700 ceramic coat have prevented this? I wonder.
It happen 2 weeks ago when we were in town at Sam's. It had to be on the driver's side.
It is not paint, it will not buff out. I tried.

Sorry to see that. I think ceramic coating just helps reduce stone chipping and reduces paint maintenance to infrequent.

Man is that frustrating to have someone “hit and run”.

For $17 I took the chance and ordered one.

Almost anything will look better than that open area.
I bought the Ford cover, cut and installed myself.
I got the cut around the 4 pin off just a little, but you wouldn't know unless you look close.
Did not really have any issues installing it, just removed the bottom bolts and pushed it in place.

The factory solid one is twice as much money but it has the same black color and texture as the factory bumper. Some people don't care and are looking for the least expensive solution, others like me want it to look right and are willing to pay more. But really, if you think this is a great solution because it's so cheap then why bother at all?

Ceramic coating is not armor. It's an extra layer that adds UV and environmental protection to your paint and makes it easier wash and dry. it will not help with impacts or rocks or scratches.
