Love my Maverick, but it's annoying to use for Uber

The fix is very simple actually. I had this issue anytime I drove my elderly mother around. I bought these seatbelt extenders so she could buckle her belt more easily but a happy coincidence was that these fooled the computer into thinking the belt was always buckled
I bought seat belt extenders.
Cheap and easy fix. About 12 dollars a pair on Amazon.

Oooh my folks must have accidentally buckled the middle then unbuckled once, was pretty distracting (agreed less safe). I had to get them to put the middle seatbelt into the seat to resolve it.

This is so weird.
I would swear my 2022 has no sensor in the middle. It never asks me to check the middle. Never warns me if the middle is not buckled. Not once in 5000 miles.

I always wear my seatbelt.
I got 4 of these for the 4 unused positions. Works great. No warnings ever. Lost one. Took the one out of the middle. Nothing changes. No warnings or messages ever with the four corners buckled.

Weird, I hope I find the solution. I never wear seatbelts unless Im driving aggressively. If I see a cop I will put my arm through it but thats it. I will disable the speakers and the screens before I wear belts all the time.

I was in a similar situation when I was 20, and there wasnt room for a living body in the drivers seat. If I had worn a belt, I wouldnt have lived, and met my wife.

Why is it that any post about the seat belt minder breaks down into people arguing about seatbelts? one is not representative of the other. Anyways, I removed the seatbelt pop-up reminder/beep permanently, but felt it useless to post because the thread is just diluted with people debating

I wonder if government nanny ever thought about letting people make their own choices and trust that they will make the right one for themselves? I guess that is getting to be a crazy idea with the way our collective intelligence is going…but it is a nice thought.

Regardless, this comment is right on. No matter which side you are on with seatbelt use-no one needs this overbearing reminder system. It is way too much.

Ohh man. I mountain bike with some guys that have had the same injury and it's true how offset by such little amount affects so much
