Picked up my 2023 Cactus Grey XLT Lux this morning. All I can say is THIS TRUCK IS AWESOME.

Ordered 9/17/22 and picked it up 4/29/23. It had 20.1 miles on it when I got it (weird)
and it sat on the lot for 2 days before I got it. There were many lookers according to the dealer.

So, I got a little info from my dealer. They took as many 2023 orders as they thought they could get.
That number was 40. 38 have been built or are in production including mine.
Mine is also 1 of 2 total hybrids they are getting. Mine is the only one built as of today.

For being what I considered a big Ford Dealership in Syracuse NY, it seems to me they didn't
want to take 200, 300, or even 400 orders even though they said they could have in that short order window,
knowing no way they would get anything close to those numbers delivered. They only took a limited
number of orders each day, and they all were only by appointment. I think that was a smart move by them.

In July 2022 I contacted 3 Utica/Rome Ford dealerships, 1 in Syracuse & 1 in Camden NY. The only one to get back to me
was Davidson Ford in Clay, NY. They put me on their waiting list & contacted me a few days before the order banks opened.
I ordered it on 9/17, never asked them about anything until it was shipped 4/6/23 and I went there to get the deal done.
No addons, paid MSRP that was on the sticker, traded in my 2018 EcoSport, and I couldn't be happier.

Now, my girlfriend wants a hybrid. We watched the miles until empty climb on the 40 mile ride home from Syracuse.
Started at 324 miles til empty and now after driving home, and a trip to the grocery store later, it's at 391 mile til empty
and sitting at 40.1 mpg so far. Here's a few photos.

Why do people always blank their license plate?

If I saw it, what do you think I'm going to do with it?

And it's 100% visible 100% of the time in real life; and can be and will be photographed 1000's of times while you are driving it.

But, XLT is the best trim. 👍🏻

Congrats. Having some miles on there is totally normal, some people have had far more than that on delivery.

Beautiful truck. MiLes increasing like that means you drive it another hundred miles and you might have to stop and drain some gas out since that thing is making more gas LOL. We have 2 hybrids and love them

I ask this same question all the time. You drive around with the license plate for everyone to see and no one worries about that. I think it's just become the thing to do on the internet.

Same here! I loved my 2023 XL EcoBoost Maverick. I didn't have a chance to do a test drive before I ordered one. Yet, it fits like a glove when I drove it out of the lot!

Really makes me anxious to get my hybrid Lariat, which has been on order since Nov 2021. Congrats on a nice looking truck.

I picked up my XLT Ecoboost yesterday. Sorry for the crummy pic, but its been pouring rain here for two days. The hot pepper red was a last minute decision I made when I ordered last July 19th, and I'm glad I did it.

I'm still getting used to it after coming out of a 300C for several years, but so far the truck seems to be exactly what I wanted, plus some. The fit and finish look outstanding and the whole vehicle feels much more solid and substantial than what I was expecting, after owning a Mazda pickup several years ago. I think its a great value compared to the similar vehicles on the market.

I'm proud to say that my son is a Ford engineer. He didn't work on this particular project, but did work on the current Explorer, and he was a driving force it getting me into a Maverick.

I worked with Colonial Ford in Danbury, Connecticut. After a lot of whining on my part, they did give me the AZ plan price, and were very professional and respectful throughout the process despite me being a pain in the ass. The salesman spent a good 30 minutes in the car with me, showing me the controls and features and how to operate them. It was probably the least stressful experience I've had buying a car over the last 45 years.

So, overall I'm really impressed with the truck and I think it was worth the 2 years wait (I missed the first order window in 2021 by a few days). I'm looking forward to a couple of nice days so I can play with it more.
