A lot of nerve. :ROFLMAO:

LOL Poor mistreated guy. 😭
What are you calling me a crybaby? I'm just proving a point here! There's no excuse for the price to go up with less features. You'd be upset too I bet!

I can sympathize with you. However with the inflation we've seen the last few years it shows us that prices do go up with less features sometimes.

So that's something to consider.

You're so disappointed but you gave Ford your money for it. Your wallet speaks louder than your typing on the internet. If it really mattered to you, you would have just bought a used 22 or 23 or kept what you had.
I ordered a '23 model but was pushed into a '24. Didn't receive this feature and others without advance notification but still endured a price increase.

I grok you, man.

It's like there are fewer Fruit Loops in my cereal box.

I was going to order a MY24 and roll my beta tester MY22, but when they took away the keypad and raised the price significantly, no new order for me. The beta tester has been flawless, too.

Dose anyone else feels cheated as Ford has removed standard features on Lariat maverick models.
I purchased a 2022 Maverick Lariat FX4 and absolutely loved the truck. I liked is so much that l purchased a 23 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, I like the Lariat for all the features that it brings to the truck. I believe that Ford has a great little truck in the Maverick but l really missed the all wheel drive on my Maverick that I decided to order a 24 Lariat FX4 because I loved my first truck so much.
Before I placed my order l read here on Maverick Truck club that Ford was going remove some features on the Lariat model. I was very disappointed that the body color mirrors , heater wipers and the Door Entry Key pad would no longer be on the truck. The Lariat is the Premium Maverick model and should have all these features .Ford offers factory door key pads on multiple lower trip models as standard equipment. THE Door Key Pad has been on Ford and Lincoln vehicles since the 1980 s and No other manufacture offers it. l read that , again here of Maverick Truck Club that Ford had so many complaints about the Keypad that they had decided to offer it as a dealer installed option. I also remember reading years ago that Ford had conducted a focus group to remove the. Key pad but also had so much negative feedback that they scrapped the idea. I saw that Ford offers a wired in key pad for the Explorer , Escape and the Bronco Sport. So l ordered my 2024 Maverick Lariat FX4 with the dealer installed door key pad. (The truck l ordered was $3500 more than my 22 with less features.) This is where my disappointment with Maverick starts . I received my truck and picked my key pad and it was a stick on unit that looks a auto parts add on unit ( a note as well when the battery goes bad you have to replace the whole unit.) If Ford is listening bring back the hard wire door entry key pad , with the Maverick price increase in the last 2 years it should be on the truck. l have had multiple Ford vehicles , my wife has a Hybrid Escape , my F150 XLT has the door key pad. I hope to read here on Maverick Truck Club that Ford is listening to its customers and is bringing back the hard wire door key pad .
I wish Ford would have kept the CD player on their radios - I can't imagine focus groups saying oh yeah get rid of that cuz it'll drop the price of the truck 10 bucks, or yeah get rid of the AM band cuz it'll save 5 bucks. Sometimes they just set the direction that want to go and ignore any outside opinions. They just realized this year that, oh yeah, people like hybrids so they're going to make more of them.

If CD players were a $10 option I doubt 5% of the orders would have one.

When out hiking or at the beach, the door keypad allows one to secure the key inside the vehicle. But if you're a homebody, the lack of same matters little.
That makes sense, I always thought the keypad looked a little dated on Ford's when I saw it. But the idea that you can lock the keys in it makes a lot of sense. I've had times when I've gone to a local park ,walking the dog, walking whatever and I wasted. I didn't have the keys in my pocket

I wonder how much cheaper the decent 2022 lariat would be, assuming it had all the recalls fixed and had reasonably low mileage. Makes me think I'll go that route as I'm in no hurry

nope- they'd pretty much all have one - who wouldn't drop 10 bucks on something that can be utilized right now and would be a plus on resale? $10 is a pizza, you wouldn't pony up a pizza for a CD player? It's 10 bucks, somewhere in life you'd be happy to have spent 10 bucks on it. You would :}

I agree. Even vinyl records outsell CDs now.

Fortunately, the missing options the OP was going on about were of no importance to me. Just more crap to go wrong. It's one reason I ordered the XL for $23 k, vs $33 k.

To each their own.

Yes you used the KISS principle and got a very good price as well. I was able to get a KISS Lariat or at least compared to today’s Lariat but I would have been quite happy with a XL which was a fantastic buy in the beginning.

Naw I just get in my truck and tell the radio to play me some Allman Brothers and walla next thing you know I’m hearing some great music. 😊 But no I don’t have many CDs left and don’t miss them but I do regret not keeping all my old LPs.

Yep, I hear ya. I originally wanted a Mav in 2022 but one got sold out from under me and the other I reserved the dealer tagged on $5K when I went to pick it up, so I walked away from that one.

I was excited when I ordered a 2024 until I saw they removed the rear slider, keypads etc. It was also almost several thousand more than the 2022 I originally spec'd out, but with less features.

I ended up walking away from it when it came in.... Sadly I think Ford had a great offering which they've slowly ruined. I know a lot of people will pay mid $30k for a Mav because "its the cheapest 'truck' available", I'm just not one of those people as it lacks features I think any mid $30K vehicle should come with.

Hoping possibly Ford reads their surveys and turns things around in the future. I doubt it though. I'm sure they'll add even more crap we don't need like larger screens etc to the Mav and keep bumping the price up.
