Has anyone done anything to increase the volume/power of the stock B&O system without replacing speakers or adding an under-the-seat sub? I think the system sounds great, I just want it louder (not more bass).

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
you’ll get a minute increase in volume changing all the speakers. If you want higher volume, then you’ll need a better amped system.

But B&O is definitely quality equipment, which is why I was hoping there was an amp addition or another method of increasing the sound without replacement.

I have the B&o system in my lariat 2025. But Tuesday I am getting more bass put in because the subwoofer is only a 6x9 speaker and it is not enough base for myself. So I went with an audio control 750 Wamp LC2 audio control line out and a 500 w max audio control subwoofer. I know that the amp is more watts than my sub but my installer is going to tune it so I won't blow anything. I do agree the B&o system is awesome!

If these guys listened to the sound system in the 22 XLT FX4 I had then the B&O in my Lariat its night and day, I have a portable Sony transiter radio $12 in my bathroom sounds better than the stock radios in the XL, XLT, what junk, you have to put it up to 8 just to get any sound out of it. The B&O works for me too.

You could move the fade forward to make it seem louder? It all honesty the system surprised me with the mini sub in the back. Its adequate and not over bearing.

I have ordered the parts to frankenstein together what I hope to be a mild upgrade to the stock B&O stereo for <$1,000. I find it to not have enough bass, nor be quite loud enough when I really want to jam (especially with windows down). My goal is to keep it as reversible as possible for any future owner to easily be able to revert if they so choose.

As is, the stock B&O amplifier powers the 6x9 'sub', the front door speakers, and the front tweeters. The center channel and rear speakers are powered by the head unit, to my understanding.

My plan is to retain (but unplug) the 6x9, and retain the stock amplifier, passing all signals through it, but only actually utilizing it for the front tweeters (a waste but allows for easy reversing).I have purchased an LC2i Pro which I plan to feed a signal from the front door speakers (should be a full range signal) into the LC2i, with the sub outputs going to a monoblock amp, and the speaker outputs going to a two channel amp. I have purchased the Skar Audio loaded box to live under the rear seat and to be powered by the monoblock amplifier, and have purchased a set of component speakers for the front doors that will be powered by the two channel amp. I will mount all this behind the rear seat and retain the factory wiring using male/female spade connectors on both the factory and aftermarket wiring to allow easy connecting between the two systems. The component speakers come with small tweeters that I have yet to decide if I will replace the stock tweeters with the aftermarkets (still powered off the factory amplifier or could theoretically run new wires to them from the components in the doors, but that harms the reversibility).

The addition of the small two channel amplifier for the front doors should provide a significant uplift in volume when desired and will nicely accompany the 10" subwoofer.

Parts list:
$786 total (before taxes), and maybe another $50 in odds/ends for connectors and such.

B&O is good. They have limits on factory so you do not blow the factory speakers. Only way to increase sound is aftermarket. By changing the speakers it might get a fraction louder but the trade off is the sound out of the aftermarket speaker is not tuned for the surroundings and the dsp that is built in. You will lose some mid bass
