I DON'T have Elevate rails. But I do have a SyneticUSA retractable cover with T-slots. Had a hard time finding anything, until I discovered that the "cone strut nuts" for "slotted channel strut" (i.e., Unistrut in the electrical section) fits perfectly in my T-slots. Discard the plastic part. Available in 1/4-20, 3/8, and 1/2 hole sizes.

These aren't T-bolts. These are t-nuts which may work for you.

The same cone strut nuts fit in the Lariat side bed rails for additional attachment points (combined with shoulder bolts and a big washer or some attachment of your choosing). Keep the blue plastic part for this utilization.

Available at Lowe's and Home Depot:

I used these cone nuts to attach folding boat cleats to my rails. See photos. I came from 23 years of Sport Trac driving and couldn't fathom hauling stuff without the cleats on the bed rails.

Here's a lower budget option that mounts on the Elevate rails:

Pretty sturdy, little bit of a clunky install but not too bad...

I really like your set up! I'm doing a roadtrip in August and I'm trying to find an RTT configuration. I just might do what you've done here. Can that back rail be set up a bit further back? I want to try to keep the profile somewhat even to optimize fuel efficiency.

Yeah for sure! You can slide them back and forth as needed.

Any chance I could get a link to the tonneau cover you purchased as well? So far your set up is my favorite, it looks good and the price point isn't breaking my bank. The RTT is already going to be expensive.

I want to update this list just a bit. I installed the SyneticUSA (Truck2Go) retractable cover, and ordered the Go Rhino XRS rack/crossbar system from Real Truck. 6 inches tall and under $500. I liked the quality of the rack, but ran into a couple of problems:

1) Although the RealTruck website says guaranteed to fit the Maverick, the box came labeled as Universal Fit for full-size beds. Before even opening the box, I called Real Truck, and they said that on all three of their databases, the model number says it fits a Maverick. So I opened it up, and the crossbars are 70.5 inches long. The Maverick is 60 inches wide, so you can do the math. I just didn't want them sticking out almost as far as my side mirrors.

2) The GoRhino rack attaches to the bed rail differently than most. Each foot has 3 holes, and GoRhino designed an 8 inch bar that has threaded holes to match the holes on the foot. That bar goes into the t-track and then the bolts are inserted down through the feet and into the threaded holes on the bar. simple enough, except the SyneticUSA rails do not have removable end caps. No way to get an 8 inch piece of metal into that t-slot while the cover is installed on the truck.

RealTruck is going to give me a full refund and return shipping free, so I am starting over and ordering the Tuwa Pro.

If your tonneau cover has easily removable end caps, then the installation would not be a problem. And I probably could buy conventional t-slot bolts from e-Trailer or somewhere and mount these in this cover.
But the crossbar length was too much for me. But if you don't mind crossbars extending nearly half a foot on either side of your truck, I think these are well-built. They seem solid, and the crossbars have t-slots running the length of them, so there is a lot of flexibility for adding things on.

I would highly recommend the Elevate system. Very robust and easy to install using the Synetica USA tonneau cover T-rails.

I have been searching for an over-the-cab rack and nothing I have seen has solid reviews. The cross bars you have look to be sturdy. Would you mind sharing the brand/link for them? Are they also part of the Elevate rack system?

I should have kept reading. I was too quick to post. Found the answer in post #17. Rhino crossbars purchased off of real truck.com. 👍🏼

which roof racks are you using to pair with your elevate racks ? I’m considering to buy a set to pair up with my racks for occasions when I haul long lumber.
Same question on ROOF rack (not Bed Rack)- mine is even same similar color and I like your layout but afraid to buy roof rack that is either to pricey or may scratch.

I'm going to get these universal ones from harbor freight and mount them on my diamondback, after cutting them down to roof height, and tapping new holes in the end.

Did you actually cut these down? I have a set and just mounted them. These are very tall on the Maverick. Not sure how easy cutting them down would be though. Was wondering if I cut the uprights down if it was possible to rethread the upright for the bolts that go through the lower/upper mount (depending on which side of upright you cut).
