I only ever ran those jeeps on the highway to get to my mud spots, mostly they were too big a heeps to drive regular like that. But looking at my 1st and 3rd CJs they both had the t150 3 spd. 2.99 1st gear and a 2.03 transfer case. I had em on 33" boggers and yeah I had to rev it a bit, but its not a huge difference between the mavericks 4.69 and 3.81 gears. And I bet the Maverick makes more power on the low end.I've watched enough BSBL offroad videos and have driven one offroad with 225 tires to know that low speed control is this combinations weak point and where under body damage rears it's head. This big a tire any exaggerates this problem.
Like your Jeep and mine highway and/or the mall isn't the issue. If I remember correctly 3:1 was a rare bird indeed as standards were mostly 3.5-4.10, mine was the latter. Still as soon as it got soft and sticky I was reaching for the 2.5 low range on 30" tires.
WOW! Love the look but I don't know how you got them to fit without rubbing especially when turning the front tires. To keep them from rubbing I'd think he would have had to cut a lot of inner fender well or he just lives with a 50ft turning radius to keep from grinding on them. I'd like to hear more detail about this tire size and modifications along with ride quality.Tremor Maverick on 2" Rough Country Lift + Yokohama Geolander MT 255/75/17 Tires. Belongs to Brad S.
Overall, I love it!!! But I hate how these “leveling kits” make the trucks look squatted.Tremor Maverick on 2" Rough Country Lift + Yokohama Geolander MT 255/75/17 Tires. Belongs to Brad S.
My Tremor struggles to maintain 20mpg stockYour truck looks amazing only now you will be good for 15mpg.
.
That’s it?17lbs. heavier than stock. LOL
Offroad use will increase wear exponentially more than bigger tires. Now bigger tires offroad, you gotta be careful not to break stuff. If you are flooring it over everything, you will eventually break everything. Otherwise a 32" tire isnt as big a deal as people will make out. I've seen 2wd VWs with 50hp on 32" rears. Technical slow trail exploring aside this is the best Maverick setup for tossing mud in the flat lands.Honestly, I think this is the coolest looking truck I have ever seen. I am tempted to do this on mine. For those knowledgable (unlike me), can you explain the risks of doing this? I am aware of MPG changes, but will it cause significant wear?
Do you have any numbers on the impact to MPG? great looking truck!
And using a pre alignment pic, so the front end looks absolutely ridiculous in this picture.Interesting that this dealer is using his pic for advertising another’s lift!
looks killer by the way , great rubber for off roading .
