But there won’t be rollovers to MY25
Again, just like last year.
Sigh.
Ford said they had no plan to "roll over" or give any price protection for 2023 to 2024
back when ordering started for 2023.
But they did.
Just as they had no plan to roll over 2022 to 2023 when ordering started for 2022.
But they did.
Ford simply stated they had "no plan" to do this and everybody keeps taking that to mean there will be none.
Ford hasn't had a plan since the model T.
They most certainly will.
Just as no dealership now is cancelling any2023 unfulfilled orders because that person didn't actively step up and say hey I want a 2024 - Ford will not cancel any orders not filled in 2024.
Of course they will roll them over.

Why would a dealer not take an order even if they knew for certain it couldn't be delivered? Which they don't.
  • Ford has told them not to.
  • They will just end up with an upset customer

Neither of which they care about if they can sell one more vehicle.
"end up with an upset customer" - hilarious.
They don't "sell" anything by taking an order, they only get paid if it gets delivered.

And it don't get delivered unless they take an order.
Why not take orders? Even if there is 1 chance in a 100 they can sell it.
0 chance if they don't take the order.
In fact all dealers are rolling ALL unfulfilled 2023 orders to 2024.
No it's not what Ford wants.
It's what the dealerships want.

I'm curious to see how much this changes when they switch to MY24.

223 Tremors unscheduled. Ford had more than enough capacity to fulfill those.

Allocations is King.
You would think all the Ecoboosts could get built. I think the fleet customers took up most of the allocations for the Ecoboost orders.

Yes, but Ford knows the hybrids are in the most demand and will continue to be. So if they have extra hybrid parts, they will build hybrid Mavs. The last two scheduling weeks posts here on MTC have had 70% and 80% hybrids.

Yep, the EB ratio actually went up this week. Meaning hybrids were the bulk of what was scheduled.

7/13 Scheduling had 74.3% (55) Hybrids vs 25.7% EcoBoost (16) or Unknown (3)

7/13 Scheduling Numbers

7/20 Scheduling had 96.3% (26) Hybrids vs 3.7% EcoBoost (1)

7/20 Scheduling Numbers

Over the last two scheduling weeks it was 80.2% (81) Hybrids vs 19.8% (20) EcoBoost

Note that scheduling dropped by 63.5% from 74 on 7/13 to 27 on 7/20 and with 7/27 only being a cleanup week it may again have very low numbers scheduled.

Didn't I read on here that there may be a refresh for 2025? I would think that would be a factor. It's one thing to give someone price protection on mostly the same vehicle, but they may hesitate on doing it for one that has a bunch of improvements/changes. Wondering if people would purposely add known constrained items to their 2024 trying to get the 2025 cheaper.

I don't get your point. Dealers can place as many orders as they want for dealer stock. They just won't get pulled until after all of their retail orders get selected. So if a dealer ends up having more allocations than retail orders, they will get dealer stock orders and mark them up with an ADM.
