But there is only around 2 more weeks of production scheduling left. The 5000 was for 4 weeks of production scheduling.
Another thing about math, those darn assumptions... I was assuming that those were the number produced at 17Jul, in other words, the USOB included scheduled but not yet produced, as well as not yet scheduled...

It is not looking like Ford cares much about the XL orders. Showing 13 percent over capacity on XL orders! Was 6 percent over on last report. Ford can surely see that demand for the XL is way over what they want to produce! Ford is only showing 20 percent capacity for XL in 2024!
My dealer had 14 MY23 orders that needed to be ordered as '24s. All hybrid, 12 XLs (including mine).

People always say to vote with our wallets. Ford isn’t obvious the people have voted for hybrid and XL’s as those were the bargain buys. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Don’t squander it like you did with the EV F-150 fiasco.

if we go into an ice cream shop and they have vanilla, chocolate and strawberry on the menu and most of us order chocolate don’t force vanilla on us.
My problem is, I want vanilla, but vanilla doesn't make the dealer as much money. That's why I've been ordering vehicles since my first new car (a '92 5.0 Mustang).
I don't want all of that extra stuff, but more and more you can't get a car without a lot of useless things even if you order it. My car, like my refrigerator, doesn't need to talk to the internet...

Different flavor of chocolate as it’s not expected to taste the same but runner up will be the 24’ Chevy Trax at 21k. Not hybrid or a truck but less expensive and more economical than the eco boost and closed in cargo is prolly safer for my use. I mean if Ford is stuck on not producing enough hybrid XL. Roll overs are said to be all scheduled by Feb/Mar so if my ailing Focus can make it that long I’ll decide around then or sooner.

Let us know the name of that hybrid ice cream shop across the street.

My salesman has only 4 Mavericks that do not have scheduled build dates at this time..... ALL are XL Hybrids so you are most likely correct, Ford has built other models before the Hybrid XL Dealership has a total of 58 2023 Mavericks that haven't been built yet (most have build dates) I ordered a 2024 XL Hybrid so if I don't get the 2023 XL Hybrid I should be good to get a 2024. Not to mention I already have a 2022 XL Hybrid Velocity Blue (I added cruise switches and power tail gate lock). If/when I get the 2024 I'll decide which to sell.

And this is one of the reasons that many of us are having a hard time getting our Mavericks built. A lot of people are ordering that aren't going to keep them.

Brandless, I won't attack another poster like you are me. Blaming me for others not being able to get their order built while not seeing the real reasons; low production due to many factors (shortage of components, lack of workers, transportation issues and more). FYI: I will decide if to keep the 23 (24?) when the time comes, if I choose to not take the 23/24 my dealer will sell it to someone that wants it, then I guess you can blame the new buyer for you not getting your order rather than me or the real reasons.

You are right, I don't know your particular situation, and I can't say that you are the problem. But there are a lot of comments like yours, "...and then I'll decide which one to sell". And yes, someone will buy it, but it won't be someone that is getting exactly what they wanted because they ordered it that way.

You are right, I don't know your particular situation, and I can't say that you are the problem. But there are a lot of comments like yours, "...and then I'll decide which one to sell". And yes, someone will buy it, but it won't be someone that is getting exactly what they wanted because they ordered it that way.
Let me explain why I decided to purchase another Maverick. The 2022 was purchased because of price, MPG and it may be my last vehicle (age 70 when purchased). Figuring I'd have about 60K miles in 8 years (I'd be age 78) I was thinking the Hybrid battery may be reaching a weak point due to age. If I was able to get a year newer (2023) it would give me an extra year of usage possibly. A 2023 wasn't going to cost me much more than I paid for the 2022. With my additions on my 2022 (cruise switches, power tail gate lock and mud flaps) and low mileage (less than 10K) I was hoping to sell it for about what the 2023 would cost. With the extra time to get a 2024, the higher cost and the more miles on my 2022 the figures may not work out for me. When a lot of us ordered a 2022 XL we did not get it the way we wanted (no cruise, no 4x4, less towing capacity, etc.) but we bought anyway. If we didn't like it the way we wanted, we did not have to buy it.

These constraints are for 23 models. They imply that if you have ordered certain parts, trims, or engines, Ford does not have the ability to produce them all with the parts/capacity they have. Thus, an increased likelihood of your order not being built. Unless you are a lucky, lucky person like me.

Gotcha - more specifically, can you interpret the numbers in the XL Series for example:

US Capacities: 25%
Retail USOB: 38% (what is USOB?)

I believe USOB is U.S. Order Banks. Order banks are what retail orders that have not been built, but ordered.

So capacity is what they can do vs retail banks is what orders are left to be made.

that's how I read it anyways.
