That’ll buff out. No problem.
One less on the road -- the value of mine just went up!Wonder if they had to spring the extra $495 for the Hot Pepper Red?
Of course they have to. IIHS buys these vehicles straight from the dealer lots.Wonder if they had to spring the extra $495 for the Hot Pepper Red?
Dang, we were thinking "A" was for "Awesome!!"An "A Grade" is NOT necessarily good. "A" is for 'Acceptable. "G" is for "Good" - the best rating.
Caveat is that all of the other measurements and scores of this new test achieve "Good". It is the addition of the rear passenger score of "P" for "Poor" that brings the overall score down to "A".

So long as you are just looking at front occupant safety rate, it is all "Good"![]()
That is more dependent on your specific car seat and how it interfaces with the vehicle. If you have a good car seat, no worries. I am also a big believer of the Swedish approach of keeping kids in rear-facing car seats until 4, and then high back booster seats.Any indication of how a child car safety safety seat does back there? Asking as GrandPa.
You joke but I do kind of wonder if it will be another nail in the coffin of small vehicles. The IIHS's goal is having insurers have to payout less, but if they're going to ding over things like rear seat space in a crash it's just going to push manufacturers to make vehicles bigger and longer.“Ford announces a new 2 door Maverick is coming. This resolves the issue of poor rear seat occupant crash safety. Problem solved! Ford-tested-tough”.
The answer is yes.. I am in sales and have a buyer connect at IIHS. they buy right off of lots.Wonder if they had to spring the extra $495 for the Hot Pepper Red?
Reason enough to keep those headrests set properly. An A grade is good for such a small truck. Looks like some major whiplash, which is to be expected.
